It just goes to show you how good WCW versus NWO was. I just got a copy off eBay and it's as good as I remember it looks better than most other 64 games and still plays buttery smooth. Still the best I think.

My guess is the budget was probably the biggest hindrance, I don't think they made it look the way they did to piss anyone off. 2K Games has a lot more money to throw around than THQ Nordic. Still, graphics have never been a dealbreaker for me, but I'm also a dinosaur who remembers the dark ages of the PS1.
I played for half an hour this morning before needing to head to work. It's such a fun game to play, and that's what I was looking for when I'm tired of the slow 2K sim-style gameplay. I can pick up this arcade-like game for some faster paced fun. Pretty much what I expected for a first outing. The spirit of No Mercy and SmackDown Here Comes the Pain is really here.
We have the best of both worlds now. 2k23 masters the sim style or at least is the closest to mastering it of all 2k WWE games and this masters the arcade style. What a time for wrestling games.
