I can't speak to the motivations of the troll, but as a shortwave listener, not radio operator, I'm biased to post transmissions that seem unusual or rare. In my area, jammers are infrequent. Thanks for your comments.
if your a radio amateur then report it to the FCC or Ofcom and let them deal with it I personally wouldn't get involved with anything like this and we have plenty of problems similar to this in the UK especially on the 40 meters there's pirates everywhere on the band trying to block out people's convocations for no reason except to cause a nuceance on the band and these idiots carry on for years so I understand about the problems your having with the 40 meter band.
