In this video you are watching old house of Madam Noor Jehan where she Spent only three years before partition 1947. This house is situated in Shahi Mohallah ( Hira Mandi ) Lahore still in original condition but not able to live because of too old to live and cracked.
Noor Jehan was born as Allah Rakhi Wasai into a Punjabi Muslim family in Kasur, Punjab British India and was one of the eleven children of Imdad Ali and Fateh Bibi.
At the age of nine, Noor Jehan drew the attention of Punjabi musician Ghulam Ahmad Chishti, who would later introduce her to the stage in Lahore. He composed some Ghazals & Naat and Folk Songs for her to perform, although she was keener on breaking into acting or Playback singing. Once her vocational training finished, Jehan pursued a career in singing alongside her sister in Lahore, and would usually take part in the live song and dance performances prior to screenings of films in cinemas.

The house of Madam Noor Jahan should be preserved as the Madam Noor Jahan Memorial under the initiative of the Pakistan Government. Indeed she was, is and will be the idol of the Pakistanis. So obviously proper homage should be given to her by establishing a memorial in this house. Everything that she would use in this house should be preserved earlier along with this house. Moreover, this building should immediately be repaired by the Government of Pakistan and should be declared as a national heritage of Pakistan.

They should preserve this building. It is beautiful building. And make a museum for nurjehan. She was such an asset for pakistan. It is quiet strange a man making a video of a place where other muslim men mistreated the muslim women. This neighborhood should be a lollywood museum and they can develop this area for tourists. If they give proper status to muslim women , give them education, this would never happen. Unfortunately, in Afghanistan same situation is there right now where women are not allowed to have education. And many widowed women , divorced women who have to take care of children come into this kind of situation.
