This pattern Simplicity 8957, is the only one that pretty much fits "straight out the package" for me size 12, no adjustments...love the fit, just right! Just wish pockets were bigger, but easy fix...Thank you for sharing!! Yours looks great!

Hey Doc!! Your pants look great. They fit you well. I love linen fabric, also. If I followed a guide sheet when I'm sewing; it would drive me crazy. I read through it and put it back in the envelope. All pants are the same, unless it's like this one. The vent for the buttons look simple, it's like sewing a shirt sleeve with vents. Don't stress over the guide sheet steps; just go for what you know, and it will work out fine. TFS, be safe and be blessed. 🙂💙💙💙💙

It looked like the vent in the pant leg is quite easy….it appeared to be the same when sewing a shirt sleeve…except the buttons are placed on the cuff of a shirt. I love linen too…they fit nice…

Thank you! When I search for the exact linen I got I don’t see it. It was a few months ago, but the closest is this one. I don’t see the navy color anymore. 💕

The fit of your pants look nice, so I purchased it for possible better fit as well. Hopefully I will not have to do a lot of alterations. The view with the buttons are not worth the frustration😊
