Very beautiful pearls.
I saw some vintage Baroque pearl clip on earrings the other day at estate sale, but I thought they were fake so I left them. They seemed too light in weight for the size, yet they had a luster but I wasn’t sure. I especially love aesthetic of the Japanese jewelry.
You give helpful tips, and have a natural talent for styling & accessorizing!
Hi Lisa, baroque pearls are usually heavy, i think there is a video i did on baroque pearls, the astrid earrings one, they are heavy as they are 100% nacquer, unlike cultured pearls which has a centre. you need to see that its heavy, plus the lustre should be more lustrous than the cultured pearls as its 100% nacquer and the colouring and texture, and no pitting or scars on them. the older ones should fetch more money than modern ones because they were very unique then, it was only after YSL saw the potential in them and sold them under his brand that the prices rose, before that pearl farmers would usually THROW them away because they thought their odd shape was ugly and no one would want them.

I love your pearl necklace collection. They are stunning. I think tradition pearl necklace style is never outdate and always look elegant. I don't like modern pearl necklace style.
