Im 12 years old and I've been looking at good schools for art/graphic design/and art studies universities to answer a question about my future. This video makes me wanna go here and reminded me to do good in school and save my money!
i’m 16 but y’all give me hope :)) don’t let anybody tell u u cannot pursue ur dreams cuz they’re most likely jealous of ur conviction/determination (been there, heard that, it’s hella silly). keep going for urself
You should totally interview dual degree students!! I'm really interested in the program, but there's like, no information or content about it online :(
I’m a freshman in high school and I had a sudden urge to learn everything about getting into art school to pursue animation, this was very helpful thanks
Thank you. I watched some of your videos when our son was looking at schools. He is now a freshman in Brown, unfortunately still in our basement. He's looking forward to coming to campus. But now it's our daughters turn, and she's looking at art schools. So this was I nice look at RISD from a students point of view. I think anyone looking to attend art schools needs to understand the classes are 4-6 hours long, and in some cases that's not just the studio classes. It's one thing to doodle and dabble in art; it's a whole other thing to work at it, to feel the pressure of having to produce something when you might not feel like it.
@@windyvibez957 she is going through the application process now, but her goals have changed. Her list is just 5 schools, and not focused on art. FIT, Marist, Parsons, Drexel and Columbia College Chicago. She still does art and is focused on fashion, but wants to do styling rather than production. It's been a long year of searching, and figure out what direction she's going.
This vlog is so cool, I'm also a Graphic Designer! I'm thinking of going there as an exchange student from Switzerland. My biggest fear is not finding friends lol
can you do a video on the Brown-RISD dual degree program? i've always wanted to study illustration and creative writing through the program, and i think it'd be really helpful to see what it's like (especially since it's so unique and selective)
kinda late but I'm a RISD '25 student, never got to tour there or anything... just ED'd based on reputation and recommendations. so this is really helpful. thank you for letting me into the RISD life a bit more :)
i live in ri and brown and risd campasses are pretty close to each other.. they’re both near like the most popular shopping street in ri so the students could meet each other there.. they could also meet through mutual friends. also they said that risd students could take brown classes, there’s just a lot of overlap
I’m currently looking into colleges to get into illustration, I’m currently researching for RISD and I was wondering how the illustration major is in there? Idk this might not be something you know >.>
Could you make a video with someone in the dual-degree program :-) ? I’m really interested in it but there’s not that much information online covering it

the dual degree is very well known and very very selective. as in 15 kids get in every year, more or less. this year 17 or 18 kids got in.
A E everyone in that program is a literal genius.
this video was so helpful!! thanks for making it!
I LOVE NIKI SO MUCH
