@@SwedishGringo I really liked this video, which I decided to share on my Facebook profile. Let's see if more Brazilians will start appearing on your channel. The US couple "The Travelbum" who are traveling around Brazil had a significant increase in subscribers on their channel after the Brazilians discovered them and adopted them as "foreign friends" and several Brazilians started watching their videos as a series. Many Brazilians have become addicted to their videos and will be orphaned after they leave. You and your friend are very nice and friendly and always speak well of Brazil and show the most beautiful side of this country, and that is what Brazilians like. Brazilians like to see that foreigners are having fun in Brazil and they have fun together watching their videos.
What other places / cities in Brazil have you visited?

@@Nathavolt: : That would be so awesome, thank you! Reaching more Brazilian viewers is the reason I keep making portuguese subtitles and descriptions.

Rio de Janeiro State has some beautiful places, away from its famous capital city.
For example, I recently visited Buzios.
There isn't even a curfew there like in Rio, and it looks super nice. Very scenic.

If you ever visit the state of São Paulo, see tips on what to visit. The beaches in the northern half of São Paulo are very similar to those on Ilha Grande because they are also located in the Atlantic Forest. In summer Brazilians look more for beaches and in winter they look more for mountain regions
    - visit de capital.
    - Take a bus to Santos and visit Santos and Guarujá and then rent a car to visit the entire coast of the north coast of São Paulo. The roads are very good. th-cam.com/video/iCROJYKNbDg/w-d-xo.html
    - Ilha Bela - th-cam.com/video/PG1er-G8OzM/w-d-xo.html&pbjreload=101
    - Ubatuba Region - th-cam.com/video/y4bP5JrWqCc/w-d-xo.html
    - visit Campos do Jordão, known as the "Brazilian Switzerland", is the city with the highest altitude in Brazil - 1,639 m - th-cam.com/video/jE8T6_aKXww/w-d-xo.html
Note: the mountain range between Ubatuba and Taubaté is narrow and a little dangerous. Drive very carefully. Avoid driving at the end of the day and at night, especially in fog. Difficult to overtake vehicles. In times of heavy rains, there is a high risk of landslides. th-cam.com/video/ZRlIlIiFL_g/w-d-xo.html . If the road is closed or if you prefer a safer way, drive to Caraguatatuba and take this route: www.google.com/maps/dir/Ubatuba/Caraguatatuba,+SP/Paraibuna/Jambeiro/Ca%C3%A7apava+Velha/Campos+do+Jord%C3%A3o/@-23.1713406,-45.7258455,10.21z/data=!4m38!4m37!1m5!1m1!1s0x94cd5228bab1966d:0x9905169ef1825576!2m2!1d-45.0859653!2d-23.4337995!1m5!1m1!1s0x94cd639daab97a29:0x965051c5272e303e!2m2!1d-45.4241453!2d-23.6255903!1m5!1m1!1s0x94cda6ba7fa97e41:0xb72913ac03a0c42b!2m2!1d-45.6627324!2d-23.3883439!1m5!1m1!1s0x94cdac1f4df05fdb:0x484ffcc8ff7eb2ef!2m2!1d-45.6935468!2d-23.2554949!1m5!1m1!1s0x94cc544468576c65:0x978d175ccdaf9fbe!2m2!1d-45.651649!2d-23.1163698!1m5!1m1!1s0x94cc89cbf10d10bf:0x42ed1a032c8ae78f!2m2!1d-45.5963557!2d-22.7428673!3e0?hl=pt-br

To really get to know Brazil, foreigners first need to know a little of its history.
To know the history of Brazil, watch this series (select the English subtitles): th-cam.com/play/PL3yv1E7IiXySpilepZSpHnrWGWbmryk9j.html
Watching the history of Brazil you will understand why there are so many black people in Brazil, mainly in Bahia, and why it's such a mixed country. You will also understand why Portuguese is spoken here and not Spanish. You will also understand why we have historic cities called "imperial" and why the king of Portugal transferred the Portuguese court to Brazil and when Brazil declared its independence from Portugal. Knowing a little about the history of Brazil you will visit our historic cities with another view.
This series / documentary is very good and very interesting.

General information for foreigners who intend to come to Brazil:
It's necessary to warn you that the capitals in the northeast are more violent than those in the south of the country, so in those capitals stay close to the sea, which is safer for tourists, avoid moving further inland and away from the sea .
To give you an idea of the violence rates throughout Brazil, see this link and download the PDFs / spreadsheets and you can compare the rates between one city and another. www.mapadaviolencia.net.br/
For comparison, see the violence rates between the capitals below:
    Fortaleza 75.3
    Salvador 44.0
    Porto Alegre 35.4
    Belo Horizonte 32.1
    Curitiba 31.1
    Brasília 25.9
    Rio de Janeiro 14.8
    São Paulo 10.2
    Florianópolis 10.2
In other words, Fortaleza is 7 times more violent than São Paulo and 5 times more violent than Rio de Janeiro (data from 2014).
With this Map of Violence worksheet, you can have an idea of where to be more careful, to be more alert. In any case, always consult the locals to find out which neighborhoods / regions to avoid, even in those cities with the lowest levels of violence. There are places that are safe during the day, but dangerous at night and that kind of information only the locals know. Doing this way you will be safe.
    .
The states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and the southern half of Minas Gerais are more developed than the other states and the roads and structure in general are much better as well.
    .
For you to plan to visit beaches in Brazil, get organized and decide after consulting this link that shows the incidence of rainfall month by month by beaches in Brazil - www.viajenaviagem.com/2012/10/praiometro-nordeste-caribe/ . For example, in the month of may it's good for beaches from Rio de Janeiro towards the south of Brazil and bad for beaches in the northeast (greater lack of rain). However, there is a risk of starting to cool off on the beaches of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul (if this occurs, you have the options to visit the mountains, which are not far from the coast).
That is why it's important to check the weather forecasts before planning any trip, as Brazil is giant and one region may be drowning in so much rain while another region may be suffering from drought. I always consult these two weather websites:
    Climatempo - www.climatempo.com.br/previsao-do-tempo/15-dias/cidade/56/salvador-ba
    Accuweather - www.accuweather.com/en-us/salvador/43080/daily-weather-forecast/43080
To find out about the possibility of extra-tropical cyclones and cyclones, I always consult this site - www.windy.com/en/-Rajadas-de-vento-gust?gust,-27.820,-43.770,5,m:cYSaeSl
    .
For tips on gastronomy in Brazil, see his videos (in English), who is taking a tour in the southern half of Brazil - th-cam.com/users/Davidsbeenherevideos
    .
Keep all these information that I'm passing on, to use it when you decide to come to Brazil.

Nightlife is very laid back and not very late. More candle light than stobes, sort of speak 🕯️🌖

Actually there are more Caribbean-like beaches than this in Arraial do Cabo, North coast of Rio state.

Yeah, Arraial do Cabo is really nice. But Ilha Grande is Ilha Grande! 💖

@@SwedishGringo Different kinds of beauties. Ilha Grande is wilder, with more luxuriant vegetation, even though there's green in Arraial too, but Ilha Grande is more rainy than Arraial and the sea isn't exactly blue but greenish. That's why I said about the colour of the sea Arraial is more Caribbean. I didn't have so great time in Ilha Grande since it rained cats and dogs when I was there. I could enjoy only 1 day.

Heyyy, love your video, but please don’t play with animals! It’s really very sad… poor starfish! 😔 even if you are saying in the video be gentle, you are taking it out of the water !
