I don’t see how Synyster Gates’ solos Re “weird.” They sound great; tons of melody AND speed. The only pure noise solo he ever did imo was I Won’t See You Tonight Part 2 and I feel like that was _supposed_ to sound like complete incoherent chaos given the topic of the song. He REALLY knows how to write a good lead. Definitely my favorite lead guitar guy.
He adds a lot of gypsy jazz and weird shit into it, sounds amazing, but when you play it on guitar and see where your fingers go your like “bro wtf scale is this”
