Crime is out of control in Vancouver. Compared to Abby. Drug addicts and homeless are a huge problem in Vancouver compared to Abby. Over crowding is huge in Vancouver its very busy very crowded compared to Abby. I used to live in Abby and my wife grow up in Vancouver. We moved to the South Caribou 3 years ago. Now 30kms from the nearest town. Have a small hobbie farm. Sold are townhouse and bought a 3 story log home on 3.5 acers.
Would be really tough decision. If you are studying at UFV then absolutely Abbotsford is the better choice. There is housing options close to UFV available. But if your studying in surrey the commute regularly might make more sense to be in surrey or Langley
