Oh gosh I read this and know so many are feeling the exact same... you’re not alone. I’m @kellyhopkinsonyoga if you ever feel like connecting. Keep shining out there
@@kellyhopkinsonyoga5896 thank you! Teaching and the students are the best part. Being with them makes all my stress fade away. They are such lights in my life
I would like to point out her statement on connecting to who you really are. I love myself but what I love about falling in love with myself is that I find these little things that have most likely always been there and I just now notice them. I notice them and I just fall in love with that quality of myself. For example I have a bounce when I walk, call it a skip to my step if you will and I notice it all the time now and I love it. I feel bad about something and I just keeping having a little skip in my step, it makes my day a little less bad. I love self discovery, it makes my day. I'm so glad that she mentioned connecting to who you really are because you'll encounter having to learn your method of teaching, which is who you are as a teacher and thus its a part of you as well.
This made me really stop and pay attention. Thank you for sharing such an important message. I truly hope you keep shining and looking after your light... I’m @kellyhopkinsonyoga on FB & IG for hopefully more inspiration and self care messages!
I am a teacher in the South of England. I am teaching CPD on Mental Heath on Wednesday and putting teachers' Mental Health at the centre. This video is exactly how I feel and it will be shown as part of that CPD session. Excellent - Thank you.
I’m so glad you heard this message and got to hopefully share it as I can feel your passion for this... I have further resources should you wish to connect @kellyhopkinsonyoga
Well this made me so very happy to read - I hope those mini little changes can occur and that you most definitely give this a try! I’m here @kellyhopkinsonyoga on FB & IG come to a class on me!
I just recently became a para after 4 or so years of substituting. Definitely different substituting, then being a para.; after only two weeks of being at school then going virtual and then going back to school. Working as a para at the high school and then changing to an elementary school in a special needs class is more than frantic! Not a lot of time for self-care.

You’re so welcome... I’m so happy to heard this. I’m @kellyhopkinsonyoga encouraging and supporting as many people as possible to defend their light with their life
My pgce uni really don't see the sick irony in making us write a reflection on this as part of the ridiculous amount of paper work they've set us on top of working full time...........................
You can stand on a plush carpet with your bare feet while you talk about self-care! I need to be on a TED Talk one day speaking just so I can stand on a plush carpet with no shoes.
Yes, I do agree, growth mindset could a good solution🎉
I’m a first year teacher. It’s so hard. I’ve never treated myself and my health so poorly. Especially during a pandemic.

Me too, I’m really struggling with my mental and physical health due to challenges teaching this first year.
Same here- mentally and physically drained.
Omg I am currently living this. I’m a first year teacher and I feel like I am losing my so astronomically. I have never felt so unhealthy.
I needed this right now. I know a lot of other teachers need this too. Thank you!
Thank you for listening and commenting - be that light in those teachers lives

Well said! Unless lawmakers, administrators, and school directors start to acknowledge this huge issue, our educational system is doomed.
Now more than ever hey...
I know my guardian angel sent me to this video. I will be still and listen.
Aw being still and listening - yes yes yes! @kellyhopkinsonyoga

Very impressive and important message indeed. Thanks dear
I’m so happy you got to hear it... you’re so welcome. I’m here @kellyhopkinsonyoga for lots more messages!
The question is, what do you do when you do all of these things, but your teaching job still takes the life out of you? That’s the question.
This is amazing advice and just want I needed to hear. Going to start making those changes in my life and give yoga a go!

Ha! Did this too for one of my first classes towards my masters. Read multiple chapters after a long draining day at work teaching

None. killed your curiosity?
What a waste of comment, why not leave something like a compliment?
This is great but nothing seems to be changing. In fact, it is getting worse 😔
Is she preaching or delivering a scientific lecture?
That’s a lot of common sense and not as mind blowing as I hoped.
