Its a very good conversion. The background colours are very garish at times but the sound and playability are excellent. Really good version for the Speccy.
Someone please do the color hack version of this excellent speccy classic, specially that green/white background (i think black and white is OK, instead green). One example is Spherical color/background hack!
The first version was better. They went for better graphics, flashy etc in this and broke the game. The spectrum wasn't capable for complex graphics due to attribute problems. Should have used a flat color background at least.
A valiant attempt to improve on the original game, but the graphics are too complicated and busy, especially the backgrounds. If we could have the original Arkanoid game and graphics, but with the audio and power-ups of this, we'd be onto a real winner!

Very hard to see the ball at times though. It should have had an option to turn the backgrounds off. The original game was better in that department.
