I like this interviewer. She let’s him speak and he seems comfortable in this interview. Interviews are hard for ESA and many interviewers in the early days of his career were exceptionally horrible. They had a strong purpose of deliberately pushing him to tears, etc.
Has he ever articulated with any precision what is at the foundation of his ongoing tussles--or battles----with what seems to be a significant orbiting of ennui or anguish or...just general existence malaise? Has he described it publicly outside of his writings? (the Vernon Wells, Rupert Sheldrake discussion led me to look into this writer in greater depth. Am just trying to grasp his zeitgeist---inner and/or outer).
