What an interesting first truck. Definitely love the older WM's. Weird seeing some different signage on that truck compared to your average WM today. Great video sir!
Congratulations on finding the Mack MR Amrep WMmaster626. This truck sure does not disappoint and makes up for the Sun Valley version we never found on route. Sure sounds amazing and has great speed on top of that. I had no idea so many old Blue Barrel Disposal logos were still around on dumpsters? The Western Waste orange on the bottom of some of the dumpsters was a nice touch from the past. The Wittke/Leach MR's were great, it is amazing how so many LNG Mack Amreps and Wittke/Leach trucks sound better than diesel trucks. Thanks for posting this video and I'm glad you caught these trucks while they were still around.
Thank you! Yes certainly a nice second chance at catching an MR Octo FL! I was surprised to see the old BBD logo too, definitely like that. Thanks again and appreciate the comment!
Nice video Aaron, loved how it came out! I’m super glad WM still has that Amrep Octo! Easily makes memories of 206722 running around my area haha. Seems like this one is running pretty strong, despite being a spare. Hopefully they keep it a little while longer! Oh and it was super cool seeing all those Blue Barrel Disposal Dumpsters on the route too! So nostalgic! Those other Wittkes were very nice too! I like the sharp growls they have. Thanks for putting this video together! Definitely one of my favorites!
Thanks!! Yeah very glad too! Haha sure was a nice throwback to 722, although that one sure looked nicer. This Octo was actually a frontline truck for much of 2019! Right now it's a spare I believe. Those Leaches sound so good as do many LNG Macks!! Thanks for checking out the vid bro!
Awesome video!! Those Leach looking Wittke front loaders are so cool, and wow does the Mack sound great!! Those Mack mudflaps were a nice added touch too, not something you always see on a WM truck. The Amrep was pretty neat too, had a nice sound too it and it had some of my favorite signboards. Excellent catches man!
Awesome catches Aaron! That amrep octo was definitely a treat! The old fading signboard gave the truck a neat classic look especially with that body already. It’s shame carb caught another victim with that second truck. No wonder cause these older LNG units are splendid to listen to!
Hey what's up bro! These are out of the Santa Clarita yard, Simi's commercial fleet is all relatively new! Santa Clarita's fleet is almost all 2018 and newer now, they replaced just about everything within the past year!
Great job Aaron! That Amrep Octo was real neat, reminded me of the classic FLs i used to watch as a kid. Sounded great and was fast! I like how the driver of the third truck got the latch back on that dumpster at the end, talk about skill!

Sick footage Aaron! 206884 was certainly my favorite truck, and it just so happened you got the most footage of it! So cool seeing and MR Amrep Octo aside from Sun Valley's 722, and I find it crazy how this (albeit crustier) truck outlasted Sun Valley's. Also, nice replacement MRU headlight for the left hand side of the cab ;) Speaking of the cab, I love the old school USA Waste-esqe green and gold stripes. I sure wish they would keep these LNG trucks around longer (considering they're LNG??) and its a shame to know they're getting scrapped. The wittkes are also pretty cool aesthetically, especially with that long metal piece that runs along the top of the body, making it look identical to a Leach or an older model Mcneilus. Fantastic video - a pleasure to watch the whole thing through. Can't wait to see more footage of 757 too!
Thank you! Was glad to finally catch 206884! I'm shocked this one's still running today, and outlived all of Blue Barrel's Wittkes on top of that. I wish too but many of the LNG Macks are aging quick, and engine parts and kits are extremely hard to find apparently. Thanks for checking out the video and appreciate the comment!
Fantastic video. I've been curious about blue barrel's commercial fleet if they still had any unique trucks left. Really liked seeing the octo wish there were more of them around nowadays
That LNG Mack Amrep sounded really boss for a non diesel. The classic octo body really is a throwback to the early 2000's. If I am correct didn't those Macks sport the blue barrel livery at one point? Really neat to see something that is not a CNG Autocar Amrep HX-450.
Yeah, I've noticed quite a few LNGs sound better than some diesels, especially the diesels with DPF filters haha. The Octo was purchased in the old GI/Blue Barrel blue colors, but the other 2 Macks have always been WM green. Definitely agree, I'd be pretty happy if it was Mack and Pete Amrep HX-450 but of course it's Autocar lol
You never cease to amaze with your videos! Absolutely love 884! Do you know why they chose to rebody the truck? Did they have to scrap a chassis and the body was still good? Hopefully I'll get to meet AJ soon!
Thanks bro! Not sure why they rebodied it, especially considering the old body was newer than the Octo lol. GI had some MR/Amreps destined for scrap and so they took the body off one and put it on this truck! Pretty neat that's for sure. Let me know when you want to and I'll let him know! Great guy!
Awesome vid, Aaron! I really enjoyed the MR Amrep. It’s such a good looking truck, and it is too bad more MR Amreps weren’t made as the pair suuper well together. CARB is honestly awful, I cant believe the actually took an LNG truck off the road... complete BS imo. I already wrote it on IG, but ill say it again, they really have no common sense, the amount of emissions needed to create a nee truck far exceeds the little bit that these trucks put out. Super cool to see the Blue Barrel dumpsters still out there, I guess they aren’t in any real hurry to replace them, lol. The Wittkies were really fun too, I really liked the Mack mudflaps on 605, but I prefer the signboard on 757. Thanks for the vid!
Thank you!! One of the nicest trucks around, I wish they were the common combo around here instead of the Wittkes but definitely like the Wittkes too. Lol CARB wiped out close to 50 LNG trucks from May 2018-May 2019 with their grant program. Yeah those BBD Dumpsters need to be swapped out, they weren't in great shape either haha. Appreciate the comment man!
Wow, the octo fl is truly a beautiful truck. Sounds so good as well. Enjoyed everything, great video
My favorite FL body! Thanks man

Thanks! Love these LNG Macks! Amrep Octos are probably my favorite FL body out there so I'm glad I was able to catch this one. Appreciate the comment!

What’s up Aaron good video... I was wondering are these trucks out of the Simi Valley yard??

Oh alright that’s cool I’m still waiting for my new truck lol...

Thank you!! Their commercial fleet was very interesting up until recently. Gotta love and miss Octos. Nice to hear from you!
