I relate to Rachel, I seek validation from others about my decisions. I'm working on stopping this and being confident in the decisions i make on my own
Rachel is sooooooo my twin because eh 🤦🏿♀️ nga I've suffered with "being soft". Goodness 🤦🏿♀️ even my family has always told me that I'm not aggressive enough, my supervisor at work recently told me that I need to develop thick skin because I'm always looking for more peaceful ways to resolve conflict and avoid confrontation at all costs. So many times I have had to find myself trying to morph into a version of who they say I'm capable of becoming, which would then in retrospect propel me to where they think I should be in life and it always backfires, sadly, on me alone and going through the repair and rebuilding always takes alot out of me and I honestly feel lost at this point. I feel like I've allowed so much noise into my life that I've forgotten who I am. I hope to find myself one day. Thank you ladies for always holding space for us, in every way, shape or form in a world where it's so easy to forget oneself.
Wow..this is so relatable! You took the words right out of my mouth..life shapes us and builds that thick skin consciously or unconsciously. It takes a deliberate decision to start looking more inward than outward for validation. It is very liberating. People slowly begin to adjust to the new version of you. Start slowly by setting some boundaries and stick to them.
I can relate with Manuela on the marriage decision... My husband was not my type but am glaaaaad I chose him🥰🥰.. he's one of the best decisions I've made in life.. Am so sure God created him for me❤

Last week I was teaching my teenager and preteen about decisions (choices). I told them that sometimes you don’t need to even go to the prayer meeting, if only you made the right decision. And most people are going about from prayer meeting to another because they started off with a bad decision. And coming from me (a prayerer) is such a big one. We must make informed researched well thought out prayed through decisions.

Rachael was right about personality types, there are people who are not rational, logical in their approach to life and while they will arrive they are wired to sit in their emotions and must marinade in them to go forward! They actually don’t like to be rushed through their emoting process. There is nothing rational about emotions
Thank you ladies,I learned the hard way after my parents passed on that I don't have to please everyone,for as long as my spouse,my children are happy,I don't care about public opinion.
This I have been waiting for. Rosette, I hear you. My hardest decision was between my career and my children. Giving birth at the onset of my career woo, it was hard to leave my babies for a job. As much as I needed the money, God had His plans. From wanting 2 kids, I found myself to 5 . 3 boys first, my desire to have a girl... God knew I had to get her at the 4th try and God has been faithful, I don't regret taking care of my babies than chasing the money, but woo. That came with many public opinions.
Everything Pumla has said, I have been living sub consciously. from how I make decisions to learning to forgive myself and understanding that my decisions have consequences I cannot run away from. A lot to take from this episode. Thanks Ladies!

I think I needed this especially as a young girl who has just finished university. Am now at a point where I am the major decision maker in my life. It's tough though but learning slowly especially that part of dealing with the consequences. But with help of bump love ,I will be there soon.

I think I needed this especially as a young girl who has just finished university. Am now at a point where I am the major decision maker in my life. It's tough though but learning slowly especially that part of dealing with the consequences. But with help of bump love ,I will be there soon.
