Released in 1996, still pumping in 2023 and takes you straight back to the future of 3048. An awesome track!
Was one of my favorites back in the day.
It's almost been 30 years since this track first graced my eardrums through the Sound Blaster Pros of my parents' Packard Bell computer and nothing will ever even approach what it felt like to hear that at 10 years old. It was like I was sent to another world. I still have dreams with this song in it. I'd pay any amount of money to experience that again.

When I was a kid (6), my Dad bought me a PC. It was a Sony Vaio and came bundled with Mechwarrior 2 on a CD. And I fell in love immediately. A year later, my dad surprised me one day by giving me this game.
I remember this song because it was the first one I heard when i finally loaded into some Instant Action for the first time. This game was a monumental influence in my childhood and my future career. This song brings me back to being a kid, playing Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries, without a care in the world.
May be my fave track from this soundtrack
If I'm correct, the music scale you're looking for, is Phrygian Dominant or Phrygian Major. (Not sure about that last 7th note)
