benny, if you want to upgrade your riding experience even further, 30mm wide are the way to go. not only do you feel more comfortable with the wider deck, but you'll then have extra stability in fakie with the 30mm wide. they also grip better because of more surface area. im riding them and can't really imagine going back
I’m the same way. I run the north 7 plus the envy tri bearings which are 120-30mm and I cannot go back to anything else. Probably my favorite combo ever.
the 7 inch wides are great if you double as a commuter scooter , especially if you have a larger foot size ! they are smooth and stable / comfortable to ride while still being able to do most tricks and stunts.
This is sick bro. I’m thinking of getting a 7 wide, but I’m still unsure. The main reason is because I love boardslides and lip slides on flat bars, and I can do them easy, but I can’t bring myself to do down rails. They scare the poo poo out of me. I’m thinking if I have a 7 wide it’ll give me much more confidence to do down rails
The 7 is absolutely the way to go if you are wanting to practice grinds or cruise around or ride bowl. The north 7 is on the hearty side but could be much worse. I have been riding mine for about a year now and have had no issues, but someone who does a lot of drops will cause it to have fatigue breaks a lot sooner than someone like me who rides casually. The concave feels really nice to the feet, it isn’t super strong but isn’t close to completely flat, making it great for tricks. Running 120mm is recommended and width is dependent on your choice of course like everything else but 30 mm wide wheels are probably the way to go for something this big.

I was riding 30 wides on a 5.5 envy complete for a while, really liked it and swore I wasn't switching back. I'm back on 24 because of the weight 🤷♂️

i’ve ran a ton of 30s in the past, just didn’t have any that were fresh to put on this setup :/ i definitely will have to chuck some on soon though
