Some of the stuff on this wonderful car, Is after Market. Don't expect a CD player on the top and don't expect the high grade rack on the roof. Originally it comes with a rack but not the best quality.
im so excited to have our new 2012 Ford Escape...i always watch this video to have a preview of what i am going to have though i think there's not much of a difference when it comes to exterior look while some modifications on the interior particularly the USB port & bluetooth features. yes the 2006 Esacape clear Halo head lights ia compatible but you need to change the socket of the 2004 for headlight becaze the 04 headlight has a different socket from the 2006 clear halo headlights
Rommel Galan The stock transmission has issues staying in-gear. (Drive) As long as the transmission recall has been completed, you shouldn't have any issues out of it. I believe this recall affects all 01-07 Escapes. Other than that slight inconvenience, It's an amazing SUV. I would recommend an older Escape with the *No Boundaries* package. Although these can be hard to find, I think it's the best roof rack; I've ever used. Or, if you like the *No Boundaries* package, but want a newer Escape, you can always buy one and add it on. Finally, I would recommend the 4 cyl, Although it's less powerful, parts are cheaper and are *much* easier to swap out. A good example is; the flex-pipe that rusts out on all Escapes; The 4cyl has four bolts and takes about 10-20 min to replace. The V6 can take 1-3 hours to replace because it is a longer, and more complicated piece. These have rust issues; but as long as you keep an eye on it, you shouldn't have any issues. Our second gen CRV is better and pracitical than this escape because there is third row seat and parts are cheaper
Honda parts are much expensive than ford parts.
