I still sometimes wonder how Spawn 1 isn't an under-$100 book in 9.8, considering the billions of copies floating around. I get the whole TM thing, but I've gotten the impression over the decades that there's not much of fan base for Spawn the character. Add to that there are more popular TM books and the saturation of supply (both raw and graded) of Spawn 1, I'm surprised that there's still enough demand keeping a 9.8 around a FMV of $150.

Modern books can explode overnight - like the Last of Us book, and then cool down quickly as more high grade raws go off to CGC.

There value is not enough for me to part with any of them. When their value is almost equivalent to my monthly gas bill, I do not care.
Good analysis,but I say just stay away from all things modern and especially all things high print run and cgc census.
