You're not even in the same class when it comes to "not the tallest"! The drummer Haruna measures in at 4'9". The lead singer is around 4'10" without her heels on. The tallest girl in the band is only 5'2"! Oh and just for the record.... there are TWO lead guitarists in this band.... two world class lead guitarists!
and totally different style of two lead guitarists make perfect chemistry and one great sound.

I love the way Miyako holds the Gibson to play the highest notes, Gibson not having the cut away like a strat. Scream for me is a great track for guitar solos trading off. As you say it's the extra details that they add to the main riffs that really add colour to the whole piece. Thanks for the reactions.

Haruna is a goddess of the double kick. Her motto is “Harder, Louder and Faster.” She put out t-shirts last year for her fans with that on it.And, much like Band Maid they do this live for 2+ hours.

There is no Lead Guitarist Midori and Miyako have equal statis

But that kind of reinforces your point. You have to go song by song to determine the lead for that song and they even swap mid song. We won't get into the songs where they harmonize for the entire song.

@@ckiemnstr345 i really love their formula. some songs they have individual leads and rythym parts with no ending harmonization and in others do the back and forth leads [scream for me] and many have the little battles ending with the dual harmonies. you never know what it will be except awesome every time
@@thedocofrock1890 My favorite are the rare times when Midori is on guitar and Miyako is on piano. Like in the middle of the 2 minute prog interlude of A Frozen Serenade. Hopefully they keep the trend going of having 1 or 2 songs an album with those moments.

Miho and Haruna would get me in trouble with an eye tracker. You know they are all gorgeous from their live shows, but I met them in the music video for 'When Destinies Align,' where they pulled out all the stops and are all jaw-dropping. Contrast that with how they were melting my face, and I was feeling whiplashed but happy with it. Then they started throwing in flashbacks where they are samurai and I was done. Loved it.
But yes, the statuesque Miho and the pint size powerhouse Haruna.

Coleslaw. But you'll need some mayo, carrots, and maybe a dab of mustard and vinegar. But if you throw it all at Midori and Miyako, it will come back so totally shredded that all the crunch will be gone!
As I said before. I've listen thru all their catalog of songs. Not a single bad one or even a lesser good song...
And the mix between doing plain hardrock, plain metal, powermetal, or trash is just perfect.

The skillset in this group and sounding as good live everytime is magnificent.

Stamina...LMAO, these ladies generate more energy and do it with no effort and look like they are ready to go out for the night when they are done. Haruna/drums is only 4' 9" (Miyako is the only one over 5') and she is a beast on that kit, she generates as much power as Kai/drummer from Nightwish/Wintersun and looks like she is barely warmed up at the end!! This is their Rock/Roll special that they love to play and get the crowd pumped. Little Asami/vocals is a stage Napoleon commanding the band and the crowd and thundering out over this glorious music behind her. The song construction and arrangements these women bring to each song is insane. Imagine trying to play these rifts at these speed and with this much precision. Nice reaction and this show is one insane energy blast that is unrelenting from start to finish. If you play this concert from start to finish I guarantee you will be exhausted when it is over (LOL)!!
They are like bunch of tunas in the ocean. They have to keep going to keep themselves breathing. They can't stop.

Oooooh yes! Coleslaw! I like me some coleslaw if it's done right. Often a bit too overpowering on the texture for me, but I'm a bit weird with foods like that haha!
@@Chief322 Your 7 day Japan fest will definitely be something to look forward to. As I was a chef when not being a teacher, here's the secret to good coleslaw. Grate the carrot and half the white cabbage, very thinly slice the rest of the cabbage and the onion. Squeeze in some lemon juice and a sprinkle of cumin, add salt and pepper mix and bind with mayo(ie, as little as you can get away with instead of drowning it in mayo), mix well and leave for at least an hour. Enjoy!

My favorite thing to do with cabbage is make kimchi. Romaine lettuce is the base for my favorite salad, Caesar salad. I grew up eating it pan fried with garlic, bacon, and a splash of vinegar. Lastly, cabbage is waaaaaaaay better on tacos than lettuce. I have a grudge against Taco Bell for making people think lettuce is the default leafy green for tacos. They only use it because it's cheaper than cabbage!

Last I saw, Miyako uses the John Petrucci signature wah pedal by Dunlop. If Midori has used a wah with LOVEBITES, I'm forgetting about it.
As far as your Japanese band week goes, I always wave the flag of an instrumental trio called Asterism. The guitarist, Hal-Ca, turns 18 or 19 this year, and she started playing when she was 10. The bass guitarist is incredible and unpredictable, and his brother the drummer is badass as well. I recommend "Stars" live from Beijing. The sound quality is good, and the camera is right on the front two but you can see the drummer pretty well.
