I was forced by my narcissistic ex to abort my precious angel boy and after taking the pills and bleeding for a couple of hours I dropped to the floor and begged Abba for my beautiful child. Bleeding stopped soon after that prayer and I found out my baby survived. He is now a charismatic ball of energy at 12 years old. One of the best miracles of my life!

When I was about 14, I went to my church's youth group, mostly just to hang out with friends. I never had really felt God, and I wasn't sure if he was real. But something pulled me to go with my youth group to a worship concert. The band played this song, over and over and over at the "woah" section, and I sobbed. I felt His presence for the first time in my life, and my life was changed. It was the most magical feeling, it was as if that whole stadium of strangers turned into a family because we were all connected to that overwhelming love throughout the space. Fast forward to the beginning of college. I had drifted from God because life was getting more complicated. I had always wanted to be a musician and I was going to college for Vocal Performance. I was extremely proud of myself for getting into college because I have always struggled in school due to some learning disabilities, but I was still worried that I wouldn't be able to handle the stress of trying to keep up with my colleagues. That's when I met a guy who happened to intern at the campus version of the church I used to go to. So I decided to give it a try, because I missed that feeling I once felt. The person who did the slideshow quit last minute and they needed someone to do that for a while until they found someone. Something called me to say I would do it, and it would end up being one of the best decisions of my life. Fast forward about two years later, the worship band leader quit very last minute because she had another job that she was busy with. They hired me to be the worship band leader because at that point I was very involved in the band as a singer and I had made so many friends. It has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. And I am so blessed to say that I have had more magical God moments since then as well. God works in wonderfully mysterious ways ♥️

I remember when I heard this song in 2008 for the first time.
I was in my room alone, and on a tape recorder I played this worship.
The presence of God was such that it enveloped me that I did not stop crying for many hours, and I had to repeat it over and over again ... 🙌🏻😭❤️
I already knew some English back then (because I'm colombian 🇨🇴), and understood some lines of the song; but what shocked me was the weight of anointing that is in this worship ... More than ever in that moment I felt the Love of a true God ... Flooding the earth and flooding my life ... 🙌🏻😭❤️... Holy and loving is the Lord.

I just can't ever get enough of the ending. They literally announce that the night was over and it was time for every one to go home, and even when it there was only one guy left on stage with the keyboard, they were STILL going on and on and on and it got to a point where some of the band decided to come back and join the crowd. Like they just didn't want it to end.
I just love it. I wish more worship conferences/concerts could end exactly like that, where even if the band has left the stage, we're all still in the room singing the song on our own together until we can't no more.
"Go and change the world", said the pastor leading prayers.
And so they did.
Thank you Hillsong United and all the Hillsong bands for your faithful service to Abba. It has changed me and so many...
This was my favorite song at one point in 2015 i think. Now i am back here in 2024 on my knees once again because of this song.

I found this song when my dad had a renal crisis and was admitted to the hospital. Everything suddenly made sense to me. I saw hope rise and darkness tremble. This song brought unfathomable peace to my heart and I could see God's greatness. My dad was discharged within days.
Update: we lost him last December but His spirit bears witness of the glory this song carries.

I was about 13yo when ‘Let Hope Rise’ came out, it used to play on TV. I would wait weeks just to watch the repeat of it all. I remember seeing how stressed Joel was when words weren’t coming together, and minutes before the concert they finished it, this performance left an indelible point of reference for what grew to be an exhilarating journey in Christian Faith.
I do not think there is a more beautiful sight on earth than watching young people worship and praise Jesus. The joy in their hearts, smile and tears bless me so and give me hope for this world even yet.
Probably the best song ever from hillsong. The song remain anointed and blessed after many years. I hear this song the first time in 2011 but I'm listening to it since today with the same opened heart. This song never gets old

This song has been my favorite since it came out. It has such a powerful presence, you can feel God, you can feel the Holy Spirit just embracing you. I break down every time from the overwhelming feeling of love and peace that it makes me feel. And when they just sing woah, just pure worship, I feel God all around me. In that moment I feel God's arms embracing me, I feel him smiling at me, I feel Him telling me it will all be okay and that He loves me. ❤

Jesus sits on the throne! Give him... everything... for eternity with Him. This is a good song to pray to if you are not there, but want to watch and participate in the worship. Use it as a time to seek Him for answers, and to search inside your heart. Ask him to make himself real to you and to help you surrender all your idols to him, those things that hold you back. Do this, so He can mold you into what He has designed you for, and to fulfill the call He has on your life.
