Welcome back, everyone! This is my final Scotland travel video. The last leg of my journey started in Thurso, the most northern town in Scotland, before heading to the capital city, Edinburgh. The train from Thurso suddenly got cancelled due to technical issues before we were rescued by ScotRail themselves. I then continued my train from Inverness to Aberdeen (the city of granite), stayed overnight and departed another train to Edinburgh the following day. The train ride to Edinburgh is a continuation of the East Coast Main Line that is scenically, geographically and in engineering terms, one of the best. The train passed by 2 magnificent bridges, the Tray and Forth Bridge, that are considered as one the greatest engineering triumphs.
Amazing and beautiful presented video as always Syifa I am patiently waiting for your next adventure ☺️ Very happy you and your fellow passengers got rescued by ScotRail ☺️ I know all too well about issues with trains my last train trip had issues luckily it was during the day as it added 4 hours to the trip of 5 already. Freighter lost some axles on a few cars which took that long to fix would have been few more if it happened at night.
Hey Syifa, thank you for visiting Scotland, my homeland, sorry about the weather but thank you for the marvellous effort you made. I am so happy that you had a safe trip & people helped you out, this is so important, that a woman can travel single & be safe is very reassuring. I will check out your other travels & always take care. 🙏🏻
Scotland is indeed a very beautiful country with wonderful people. Each of the Scotland vlogs on this channel is unique. Each is absolutely marvellous and so is this one.
I was born in Edinburgh, grew up in Caithness, studied in Aberdeen and have settled in Orkney, so I’m very familiar with the places you visited. Your Scotland series was outstanding…it’s introduced me to your channel, and I look forward to following your further videos.
i loved this little travel series in scotland SO much!!! i took a trip to scotland about two month ago, so these videos have definitely made me miss traveling through the country :,) it was especially nice to see the country again through ur calm, relaxing, and beautifully shot videos (i always love the music choices btw!) i DEFINITELY want to visit scotland again, perhaps solo this time? :D hope you enjoyed ur time there!!
As an Indonesian, I am so proud of you, Syifa. You are a strong and brave woman who take a long journey around the world. I hope my daughter will be like you.
Unique and historical place is Edinburgh with lot of beauties, activities and charches, castle & old architectural building , hills is there . Love it.
Scotland is so nice, despite of the geographical region spread out like that plus the gloomy weather yet the country looks so neat and clean, they also have better public transportation management than some countries in Europe, the train and boat journey look comfortable.
Syifa, I"m Westi ...saya selalu menunggu video videomu ...sebuah rasa tersendiri menyendiri dan menikmati videomu. Terimakasih banyak Syifa, sangat suka dg your English. I'm an English teacher actually. And I learn much from your videos. I"m so proud of you as we come from the same nation. Keep healthy, Syifa and take care. 😊
What a beautiful place you show us again all the way from Thurso train station to Edinburgh I really love to see the beautiful natural places of Scotland
I've really missed your travel videos. I know you're a newlywed, so you're busy with your new life. I'm actually surprised you're not out here with your husband. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it.
Thank you for this series on Scotland. I've enjoyed watching your videos of a country/part of the United Kingdom that I never got to visit in my earlier travels to England and Wales. Looking forward to your next travel series, Syifa. Keep well!
Scotland is one of my favorite destination, public transportation is very organized & best way to connect the cities, Thanks for sharing your experience..
Scotland is the most beautiful country indeed. Scotland is actually my first country that I really want to visit. But to see and repeat this video a month ago, I’m now very desperate to visit Scotland. What a masterpiece this series and have fun living in the UK. I’m so happy for you and your husband. Wish you a longtime happiness for both of you.
Emanuel, thank you so much for your lovely and kind comment. I have got 6 videos from Scotland and can be watched here: United Kingdom - SYIFA ADRIANA th-cam.com/play/PLonhezuZQT1YnnhCU2_aRm0IaXlnuvSFS.html I hope these videos have inspired you to do your own journey in the future 😊
You're awesome Syifa Adriana. I am going to travel myself from London, Scotland and Dublin by train, bus, and a ferry to Ireland soon. Thanks for the tips and let me know any other issues.
I enjoyed the calmness of this video, it kind of mellowed me out. The no-talk/music interludes were pleasant, and your commentary is chill, Syifa. - an older Canadian who had a WW I veteran grandfather from Aberdeen!
Awww so glad to read your comment! I love that the music has mellowed you out :) I am glad that calmness was the emotion you felt while watching this :)
Thankyou Syifa, have enjoyed your videos. You give an excellent presentation. Mentioned before (do not expect you to remember) my forebears came from Scotland. My grandmother always told me when I was growing up how wonderful it was in Scotland, I think in reality she was recalling her youth. I have visited twice but briefly so hope to get back maybe in 2024. The unusual thing for me when I visited I felt strangely at home. Must be more in our heritage than we sometimes give credit to. Enjoy your new homeland.
Nice to hear you had a good time visiting Scotland by rail, this seemed the best option because of the variable weather,an easy way to explore urban and rural Scotland, the most comfortable to for a woman on her own, glad you enjoyed it, much love syifa ✌️❤️🇬🇧
This has been a most enjoyable series Syifa despite the often unfavourable weather which I would say you were somewhat unlucky with. Really impressed with how you coped with all the publc transport......it's certainly a super way to see the country. Any plans for a similar series to Wales or N. Ireland sometime in the future? 😊👍👍
Peter, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am very flattered! I am going to do series from other countries first, before potentially doing Wales and Northern Ireland in the future. I did go to N. Ireland last Spring but didn't film for TH-cam. Thanks again for your lovely support!
Thanks mba syifa i'm glad and enjoy wathcing your trip. I love part your journey using train, it's amazing. The train looks clean, calm, fascinating view from the window. have a great day mba syifa
dear Syifa, I'm getting more and more accustomed to your ways of showing my homeland-of-choice (I'm German, living here since 25 years)... you do a great job - well filmed and very personal in the way, you let us join you on your explorations... I've seen your clip with your partner and husband recently... it is so personal and intimate the way you do this, and also so honest, sharing the challenge of exposing yourself so much (and being an introvert by nature, which I am too)... I'm so happy to have discovered your channel, and I will certainly continue following you... I wish you the very best for landing in a country, that surely is magical, but yet also so different to your country of origin... I love you, Syifa, and I'm sure, many of your followers feel the same... I hope you always can feel the heartbeat of this country, also when its very dark almost 'forever' (in Winter), and so wet... thank you for the Indonesian sunshine, that you pour on all of us here in rainy Sco'land... xx :)
Thank you Sfiya for sharing the video. I loved watching it. Hopefully, I get to your Scotland one day. I agree It’s very easy to travel by train in England!! Birjees
You would make a fantastic travel correspondent for BBC Scotland or STV . Fantastic coverage of my homeland. Have done the same journeys aswell 🙂 well done and take care
Really enjoyed your video Syifa. Such a shame that the weather was poor for your journey from Aberdeen to Edinburgh. My wife and I travelled by train from Edinburgh to Dundee over the Forth and Tay bridges, we were lucky that the weather was sunny for us, it is such a beautiful journey.
Train journey is very beutiful. Your journey is very beautiful. Trains stop at stations. After that we can't see that beauty. Your journey beauty is unlimited because syifa's journey is unstoppable 💪💪🔥
Nice video, and Thurso is the most northerly station of the British railway network, and the most northern town on mainland Scotland. Scotland does however have at least two more towns which are further north. They are Kirkwall in Orkney and Lerwick in Shetland. These islands are all part of Scotland and , for now, part of UK.
I've been following your journey, and so glad finally you've found " home "!🤩😊 I know how you feel. The feeling of freedom and a sense of belong. Looking forward to your next adventures🤗🤗
Hi Syifa lovely video. Edinburgh looks like a beautiful city with lots of greenery and open spaces. looking forward to seeing your next series. Take care. God bless ❤️❤️

You’re welcome Syifa plus It’s raining here in Montréal Quebec Canada today September 13, 2022 and more rain showers 🌧 later this week. Our summer was under heat warnings daily.. Hi, yes I went to Skye and the Outer Hebrides. This was a series of 1000 miles travel in Scotland. All the videos can be watched here: th-cam.com/play/PLonhezuZQT1YnnhCU2_aRm0IaXlnuvSFS.html
Correction : Tay bridge and not TRAY bridge. I was graduated from Aberdeen University way back in late 80s. Since then I haven't been back, I am really looking forward to see again the beautiful Aberdeen city and the surrounding fascinating tourist spots.
I wish someone had been with you to show you around a bit more! If you don't know where to go every stop can all be almost identical! I live in Glasgow and have family in Edinburgh, they might only be an hour away from each other but the differences between the two are massive! Loved your video by the way, I'm away to watch some more now! 💜🥰🏴

Awesome video Syifa 😊👍👍
Aberdeen is known as "The Granite City", from the stone from which much of it is built, so on a dreich day it can look very grey.
On a grey day Edinburgh is dreadful. It's not much better in the sunshine.
Ahhh, the good old Rail Replacement bus service. So annoying, but better than being stranded in Thurso I guess.

Hi, yes I went to Skye and the Outer Hebrides. This was a series of 1000 miles travel in Scotland. All the videos can be watched here: th-cam.com/play/PLonhezuZQT1YnnhCU2_aRm0IaXlnuvSFS.html
So beautiful sharing❤
Love this, thankyou, Greg in OZ
Greg thanks a lot for watching 😊
Well done. Mission Scotland completed.
Hi @@mubashirkhan9566 yes I'm from Glasgow in Scotland
