For the most part I enjoy this family, my only issue is it seems that in this family Alex can do no wrong, while Anna can do no right. In my opinion Anna needs to be cut a break while Alex needs a good swat on the butt and a reality check.
Glad someone else sees it. My husband and I started watching the show when we subscribed to the discovery channel. I love the show however, I have noticed the same thing. Alex is so spoiled and whines about everything. Another thing is Amber gets on my nerves at times because she contradicts something Trent says all the time. He really does let her run the household and him. Lol
A favorite child is wrong wrong wrong. Its SO obvious and yet... just you wait n see. You are fueling a monster that for now, runs the parents and gets by with cruelty to others. The monster then growls 'more, more, more' as it grows bcause too much is not enough. Ha. Good luck w/that 😆🤣😅😂😁. Sheesh.
Everyone in the family put Anna down, if something goes wrong everyone says “ it would be Anna’s fault”. So sad because when they adopted her from the orphanage, she was show signs of being institutionalised, she was rocking back and forth. She needs more love

I have been watching this show for several years. I think all the kiddos are typical kids. I think its important to instill on them to ignore people’s rudeness. Heck we all get it through life. I am 5’2 and I have to use step ladder’s too. We have a daughter while growing up was in the hospital more than she was home for several years and we treat her just like our other two. We also have a special needs granddaughter and the same for her. She does get picked on a lot so I can definitely understand. We tell her the same ignore them because people can be mean. God doesn’t make mistakes. We love her for who she is. God bless each of you❤️

I agree Elizabeth is very pretty the other children are also good looking. I do feel a little uncomfortable when Anna can't seem to win although having raised three children of my own you never know what happens behind closed doors but she is also very sweet. I love the way she hugs her dogs. By the way I don't see enough of the bigger dog the little dachshund is adorable but I'd like to see more of the older dog. Some have commented that Alex seems to be spoiled and he does could be just his personality. Trenton Amber do a great job of raising their children. I don't care for this reason episode of them pushing their children out of the house because they're 20 and 21. I know exactly what it's like to have children get older and want them to be on their own but when I watch these shows I don't know if TLC is doing this because little bit more chaos which is good for the show or if Trent and Amber really feel they have to get the kids out of the house. I think Trent and Amber has taught them a lot of responsibility they've been good examples and I think the children would do this on their own. Maybe Jonah might need a little more pushing but Elizabeth has plans for nursing Anna has some very entrepreneurial skills she just needs some help and how to do it she seems to be a very smart girl. Emma is adorable and I admire her cheerleading skills. Alex is a cutie too but yes he is a bit more dramatic but I love how he's taking up cooking. That's another great skill he could use.
I agree with all the positive comments, but I am bothered by Trent quitting 2 jobs in 2yrs. He has a family and a house, some things are more important than your happiness...
@M Miller- I don’t think Trent and Amber ‘pushed’ any of their kids out of the house!! I believe when your child reaches a certain age, if they are going to College full time, it should be their choice to live in the dorm or to live at home, but when you don’t go to school full time or in Jonah’s case-he flunked out! And he still thought he should stay at home. At that time he didn’t even have a job! That’s when his parents told him to find a full time job, save his money and move out! I would have done the same thing!! Our kids, a daughter & a son, graduated high school went to College got a job and moved out!! That was harder for me than it was their Dad, but they are both strong adults with their jobs & spouses and families!!
What bothers me is the way Anna is treated so differently actually by the entire family but especially by Amber, I mean they blame everything that goes wrong on Anna and Jonah flunked out of college twice and he even used the first time the excuse it was because he had to drop Anna off at school. I don't like it because the other kids have seen Amber say stuff to Anna that she never be said in front of the other kids and so they think it's okay to cut her down. Emma and Alex are very very spoiled, and Jonah and Elizabeth are treated differently than Anna and that is very obvious I mean Jonah would have never found the house if it wasn't for Amber and it's awful funny how he is allowed a roommate but when Anna wanted to have her girlfriend move in with her Amber wouldn't allow that she said no you have to do it on your own or not do it at all. I just wish that they would see and I mean the entire family how they treat and speak to Anna because it's just not fair, I have noticed that Anna will talk to her dad and confide in him before she will Amber and I definitely understand why. Anna is trying to always win the approval of her mother Amber but no matter what Anna does that's never going to happen and that makes me sad for Anna. I do know that Anna's done a couple stupid teenager things but nothing that would actually harm anybody and she was punished for what she did but I could tell you one thing Alex and Emma don't have a problem telling their parents to shut up right to their faces and if Anna ever did that she would have been grounded forever. That's exactly why I don't care for Amber as much as I do Trent because I think he sees it too. I just wish the entire family would treat Anna better than what they do instead of every chance they can get cutting her down.
