Wow! I have this pattern and now I’m excited to try that turning hack! I’ve been sewing for YEARS and didn’t know how to do that. Many times I thought there’s got to be an easier way….THANKS!
Thank you, your “detail” for a Newby to bags was wonderful.
Absolutely love, love, love this "Catch All Caddy". Wish the fabric was still available but I have tons and tons of big plastic boxes with jelly rolls, fat quarters, charms, layer cakes and lots and lots of fabrics on bolts plus a lot of fabric bought for classes. I should be able to find something out of that, right???? You did a great job Margaret!! Thanks for being on TH-cam!!
I love how you show and give direction. You are calming and make everything so easy, step by step. I'm so glad I found you.
+Lorraine Crance thank you!!
What a wonderful video! Thanks for making this. It made it so much easier for me to make it. I am a beginner and I probably wouldn't have been able to make it without you
Just bought this pattern this past week and picked up fabrics from Joanns on Friday night. Now I have more inspiration to get it done! I plan to use it for craft room cleaning supplies :)
I'm so glad you are doing a tutorial on this pattern. I just bought it and will watch before I attempt to make it. Love your tutorials, so organized and easy to follow. Thank you so much!
I just love the colors. So bright and cheerful🌼
I made this although rather than using the very expensive Soft & stable I used a regular cotton batting added a second layer of the interior lining fabric I was using ( not part of the quilted piece) which I inserted sections of plastic cut from gallon milk bottles making sure to cut it with leaving room for seams. It worked beyond wonderfully.. in fact better than the one I made using the soft & stable when each had been washed. The soft & stable looses some of it's stiffness when you wash it which was what promoted me to make my second one using an alternative. I've washed them now several times. My original one made using the soft & stable collapses. The one made using the plastic walls from gallon milk bottles is as solid & stiff as it was the day I finished making it. I made longer pieces of plastic inserts by gluing panels of cut out milk gallon plastic together using a thin line of gorilla glue super glue and sticking those together by overlapping a thin strip of each side.
Thank you I love your directions there are very clear . I live in Switzerland and your english also is very clear
You are really amazing. Everything looks so professional!
Hi there. I purchased the pattern a year after video and just noticed it today. I love cats and found a real cute fabric with cats but it was a one way design and so I was kind of hesitant about it till I saw your one way design so I'm more confident about trying it. I have made garments for at least 35 years so I kinda of known how to do the design. I also wanted to ask about your stiletto because my husband turns wood and makes pens and he also made me several seam rippers and stilettos, so I was curious about where you got yours. Your videos have been very educational proving you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks.
I can't find the link to buy the pattern and tools kit. Can you lead me in the right direction please.
I saw where Lori Holt would cut a little point at the end to help it feed in the tape maker. I thought that was a really good tip
Margaret you do excellent work. Mine never looks that good! Why???
What type is your ironing board?
Do you have a video on your walking foot?
Hey! Excellent tutorial! I am just a beginner. Could you please tell me which foot did you use and why. Thanks.
+Angelyn Benjamin I used a zipper foot when attaching the hardware, a walking foot for the quilting and then just a standard quilting quarter inch foot for the remainder of the sewing. Thanks for watching!!
Thanks a ton. 😘😘
Thank you 😍😍What bating you used?
I use a product called Soft & Stable for bags.
I am very interested in making this for a baby shower gift. I have a couple of questions. Are you able to tell me how much fabric I will need? I haven't purchased the hardware kit from you yet so I don't have my pattern. Also, you are sewing through lots of layers. Are you using a needle larger than a size 90?Thanks! I love the caddy and I adore the stripe fabric you are using!
+Cindy McFarland Hi! You will need 3 fabrics. 1 yard, 1 1/4 yards (lining) and 1 yard. I just used my normal needle with no issues. Thanks!
Love it! Thank you for your time and tips. 8-)
Is this pattern in pdf form or paper? thanks :)
