Fly fishing for Rainbow Trout in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe (Nyanga)

In this episode of This is Africa Outdoors we travel to Inyanga which is in the eastern highlands of zimbabwe to fish for rainbow trout. We stayed at the Connemara Cottages and fished in the dams nearby. We caught many trout, streamers were the most effective types of flies being used.

Went fly fishing yesterday in Colorado and there was ice all over the river. Trout fishing in Africa looks a lot different! I had no idea the water was cold enough in Zimbabwe to hold trout. Thank you for teaching me something new!

Been fishing there many times 45yr ago good to see it's still going are there still brown Trout in the streams and dams also are they stocked for the hatchery.

I don’t think there are any brown trout being stocked anymore, but I believe there are still some feral fish in the streams

If I add up all the days that I’ve been in sim it will be like 4 years and I’ve only heard about this place but never seen someone fish there. Also great video👍👍👍
