Very nice work, I had one of those compressors that the head gasket would only leak in the very cold weather only. Took me several trips to finally find the leak. Thanks

WoW... that's very nice of you to say! Thank you for taking the time to not only watch the videos but to leave me your review. I have been blessed to work at a reputable and successful business that offers all the opportunities of different types of service.
I once got 3 bad rebuilt 7.5 hp copeland semis in a row on a 12' upright freezer case. The first two had defective internal overload protectors and the third one was an oil pumper. The fourth one worked. Had to work about 24 hours straight on that job. Lucky I had the xtra-man hoist and my older brother was helping me that day.
WoW Thanks man! I try to pack my videos with as much stuff that I may not of known not to long ago so it hopefully helps answer the questions some don't know to ask about yet. I appreciate the feedback!
it must be very rewarding to make a change out with all the many different things it takes to get it done. Trouble shooting, ordering all material.the rip out, rigging, rewire, balancing. Nice job, thanks for sharing.
I figured people would like to see it being used, it was the first time I used it for work and it did great. I forgot the other bracket for the hitch mount but the Tee trolly worked better anyway.
I just started using that Loctite 567, to seal all of my metal to metal pipe threads. So far I like it. The applicator is better than a brush it doesn't end up spreading everywhere like regular pipe dope. It can't be used with plastic or with Teflon tape. It needs the interaction with the metal to cure. It doesn't cure the same way leak-lock does, not supposed to get hard like it either.
I’ve have good luck with it. I believe we started using it on the flare nuts threads on mini splits to keep them from coming loose from vibration. I’ve used it on everything like you said for Metal to Metal. I did not know that about the plastic. I will remember that for later.
Yeah I was very pleased. I could have man handled that in and out of the truck and probably onto the rack but why take the chance. I'm sure someone will think it was over kill but so is a power drill and a van 🙄😁🤣
Sorry for the smudge on the lens halfway through. FYI - We gave the customer the option of trying a new valve plate or replacing the compressor, they choose the latter. (We haven't had much luck with valve plates in the past.) See the first video th-cam.com/video/GhkIwsLrn2g/w-d-xo.html for the diagnostic. And yes before anyone say it...YES! AWESOME VIDEO! I remember working on some ancient Trenton Kramer condensers that the customer actually wanted repaired. One actually had a pump on the liquid line to reduce the load on the compressor. It too had a subcooler on the evap. Archaic, but state of the art for its time. Thanks for the video Rick!!!!!
Love the use of the hoist! That’s using your head and not your back! Thanks Rick! 👍 just FYI. They make a stainless strut trolly that has a 600# capacity, but it is pricy!
Love the hoist for moving the compressor about! I'm a bit old school so use a chain block instead. Bet the suction reed valves have a wear ridge where they should seal on the valve plate. A lot of those style compressors don't have piston rings, just cast piston with three grooves in.
@@HVACRSurvival You can feel the wear with your finger nail when they are bad. Had one years ago I got pumping again turning the valves over to the unused side, ran a couple of weeks before they snapped off from bending the other way!
