Condolences, Sam & family. Thoughts and prayers! Go Blue! Edit: Harbaugh missed on Dante Moore, Underwood, and many more during JJ’s tenure. AO is an athlete but we no longer have an elite coaching staff that form a proper game plan for him
All a team needs to do to make Orji more of a hindrance than his running is worth is to blitz often. Everyone said that he's an elite runner but that appears to have been vastly overstated. JJ was better at that. He was elusive like a cat. Orji is just a big strong dude with athleticism but he's not agile or shifty like I saw with many of the QBs that I saw on much lesser teams over the weekend. Fans think he's gonna be great throwing on the run but I don't think that's the case either. They imagine it'll look like JJ when he was running around but JJ was fantastic at that so it's not gonna be the same. Illinois, Baylor, and both FRESHMAN BACKUP QBs for Utah and Oklahoma are all VASTLY superior to ours. Idc if UM wants to use Orji the rest of the season bc I never thought this team would contend for anything the next few seasons but don't be surprised by the Ls we take and don't blame the coaches for not being able to teach a tree to walk. Alex is what he is and we're not breaking off 40, 50, and 60 yard runs every game. I am wary of how easy it continues to be for WR recruits to laugh uncontrollably when UM reaches out to them and how demoralizing it must be for the pass catchers on this team who are essentially very small offensive linemen who aren't allowed to exercise their entire purpose for being on the field.
This QB should be sitting on the bench in the MAC conference. How can you not pass after a high school career of being a QB and training at UM for 3 years. It makes no sense at all 😂
My thoughts and prayers are with Sam and his family.... May the peace that passes all understanding wash over the Webb family and bring comfort during their time of loss.... God bless you, Sam.
If Orgi just can't pass and the coaches refuse to use him to advantage, I'm for going back to Davis Warren and let him work on his int. issues. He's a pretty good passer. We won't make the playoffs the way we are currently using Orgi, and he's a one and done anyway. Besides, Orgi should have been a linebacker all along.
You all acting like the coaching staff is utilizing the talent they have … they are coaching to what they want to run not their talent.. kinda like rich Rodriquez
Why is Denegal not being considered as an option? He had a shaky spring game so whatt?! Hes shown that he can pass and run. I dont get why hes not being considered
Old DC's like wink can't assimilate all the data and analysis that is available. Teams need younger DC's like Mike and Jesse - who are tech savvy and willing to learn and adjust on the fly. Wink is a liability.
Brian There’s NO WAY Michigan is just sayinf “oh well let’s just keep doing what we’re doing , we will eat this season badly.” They have 3 or 4 potentially top 10-15 picks that are gone after this year . I can see them being stubborn and saying “let’s try and adapt our talent to us “ but they aren’t just intentionally eating a season . I think there’s stubborn ness but moore is trying to adapt , that’s why they played orji last weekend . They are making some frustrating choices but they are still learning, and I garuntee they are trying to salvage this season. Maybe they won’t be successful and maybe they will end up not being good . But it’s foolish to say anything along the lines of them just accepting a bad season , after only 4 games
They have to accept the roster they have and they WILL have to eat that they don't have a QB capable of taking them to a playoff bc they decided using a subpar RB as the QB would be "good enough" 🤷
@@person5241 I agree. They are being foolish . But hopefully they are gonna be more flexible , now they they already came close to losing their season essentially
Brian comes off as extremely arrogant. He talks as if his opinion is more valuable or like it’s fact and that he has to set everyone straight with his perception.
It's especially embarrassing because he thought Alex Orji was Kalel Mullings and called him that to his face. You cant go around correcting everyone arrogantly when you make horrible mistakes like that.
@iidentifyasanapple8932 Yea, you've obviously haven't been on any Michigan message board this season. It's 98% Doom and Gloom "We're not making a bowl this season" , 1.9% "Maybe we'll go 6-6 and make the Quick Lane Bowl" and 0.1% "Things are gonna be fine".
Defensively, Wink's ego always surfaces at the wrong time at least 2-3 times per game. That's how we end up having blitzes not getting home, leaving guys wide open all over the field for big plays. I think he's not in the NFL because the game has passed him by. Rumors were that he's not a team player and resembles Buddy Ryan more than he does Minter or MacDonald.
I'm sorry, but you guys are going to sit there with a straight face and tell me that after watching 3 games, including the Arkansas St game, that you believe that the Davis Warren led offense is the best course of action moving forward? Right after they found a way to beat USC without having an offense suited to Orjis skill set yet? They're just supposed to pull the plug and say it has no shot of working with Orji? That is some next level bs. I can't even take this seriously.
A guy who can't pass and isn't a great runner serves no purpose as a QB. The feelings of sensitive people have no bearing on the situation we have at QB.
@@Peter-dw3qx it's easier to just say you don't know jack about football. Nobody has any idea what Orji can or can't do because we haven't asked him to do it yet. I'm tired of people lumping an entire offenses worth of problems onto a QB who hasn't done anything to deserve it. Last week doesn't happen with Warren as the QB. Plain and simple. We lose that game by multiple scores if we continued on the path they had set out on.
@bmonty1915 Nah, if warren doesn't throw a Pic, they win easier than they did. Im all for letting Orji show his arm but if they dont or he doesnt have it well then they gotta have some pass threat or games will not be close they will get ugly
@slippinjimmy9826 not saying he isn't correct on some topics and sportslike hockey and basketball. He just talks over everyone with a smug, I have to be the smartest guy in the room tone. When he's been more off base about things football related than he has with other sports like hockey.
I think I disagree with most of your assessments. Very negative and not mentioning possible positives. Of course they were not ready for Orji and Orji wasn't ready because they botched starting him earlier. So you can't assess his passing or reading ability. 🤷🏾♂️ Campbell wasn't ready and that's a crime. Don't think he knows how to use a running QB, that's why he forced the Warren situation. I look forward to his improvement and proving you guys wrong
Alex didn't have a high school career at QB under his belt and 3 years training to be a QB at Michigan? Pretty sure all of those things happened and he's still not a good at it. Not starting 3 games doesn't magically negate everything about his lack of potential.
Kirk Campbell sucks guys! He has no idea how to run an offense to take advantage of Orji's skill set. Tells me all their hyping Orji up in the offseason was lip service. In reality, IMO they spent their time trying to force Orji to play in the offense they've played the last 3 years. That's how you end up with Davis Warren as your starting QB. Now, I also believe that if Tuttle had been healthy to start Fall practice, I think he'd be the starter. But he's still not healthy! Warren's poor decision making forced their hand to put Orji in and hope that the run game could carry them. Against USC it did! Not sure if it can continue without a passing game.
The fish stinks at the head: The DC thinks he's the smartest person in college football and was pushed out of his previous two jobs by his bosses, that's never been a good path- Coach Wink meet Coach Prime The OC is a child who's been given the keys to a BMW when he has never driven on the road before. . The HC was promoted to CEO of a top 20 company when his previous job was assistant regional manager for 2 years. This program is headed down a disasterous ending.
Prayers to Sam’s family for peace during this time.

No idea why anyone thought our 5th/6th string RB would be a good option at QB 😂
Donovan would be a better choice at the QB position.
Gloom and Doom…
Hopefully, we look back at this show at the end of the season and say- Boy were you guys wrong!!

we should run some wing T option plays
Our best RT didn’t play until injuries last year , what’s up with RT decision making ?
Brian is absolutely correct. This coaching staff has been a shit-show so far - offense and defense.
Qb recruiting problems started when they gave JD johnson a scholarship and couldn’t play him because of his heart condition
