Respect for puting in the effort to uncover the history of some of this flags Not just on this video but also on your Canada city flags videos which vere a joy to watch when I was sick : )
The sad thing about city flags is that, generally, they result in low viewership and you will never have enough time to learn about all the meanings attached to them. Even then, the good news is that there always will be more! I come from a SOB (seal-on-a-bedsheet) city in Arizona, near Mexico (of which my other nationality is). Even our municipal police flag is more creative. Although, the police flag has had a fair share of controversy (of which, I’m not going to go into detail into it, but they didn’t attend an event they were asked to attend since they were asked to not fly that flag.) As for Mexico’s municipal flags, I have tried the task of finding as many of them. Nearly half have a flag, but they are all just the coat of arms on white. Municipal governments in Mexico also use a flag usually, with their logo.
Adorable twilight :D Are you the person who makes that comic if so thanks I’ve been a fan since like 2014 And that sooooo fanceyyyy was that a RCR reference?
Thank you for being such an avid fan! That really means a lot! Welcome to our TH-cam Channel and i hope you continue to enjoy all the stuff we make whether on TH-cam or elsewhere. ;-) RCR? What is that short for?
You should make a flag for Russian regional flags Russia has countries inside it ( like Checnia or North Osetia) so they have a strong regional flag culture for eastern Europe It is also interesting that a lot of their flags for republics have a loyalist and separatist verison Like Komi republic for examples Blue green and white tricolor is the official one While the Nordic crose version is associated with wanting to be closer to Finland ( Komi and Finsih people are quite close)
Keralian flag is another example Red Green and blue derives from the short lived Keralian SSSR which use the same tricolor but with hamer and sicle While Nordic crose which uses green black and red derives from short lived Keralian republic which existed during Russian civil war
Thank you so much for your suggestion! I have examined some on my own time in the past, and you are correct, there are many terrific flags! The details and meanings from what I saw were fantastic. And I know you are right on how they would change in design depending on the region and former ties. I think this would be a lot of fun to examine, but I also worry I am not qualified to talk about such flags. I don't have the cultural background in knowing this region, nor explaining it all. I think it would be very fun to branch out and talk about international flags by country or region. This might happen someday, but I would want to be better versed and prepared. I worry I would be attacked by locals as someone who isn't from the regions I would be talking about.
@@AJMSTUDIOSvideo I don’t completely understand why you would feel worried about being attacked for speaking about their flags. But yes, flags are sometimes treated differently by culture, for example, Mexico’s municipal flags are treated only like decorations. If you want to have fun dissecting Mexico’s boring flags, though, (fun fact: they all only use the coat of arms on a field of white) then sure, why not? If you do worry, then consult the local people. Ask a question to people from the area if they think it is a good idea and for any information that they think you should know about them in general, then I think you’ll be good to go.
