Rams SIGN Kam Curl, looking at Tre'Davious White with Aaron Donald retiring PLUS more FA news

- The Rams are now looking at life without Aaron Donald. They've signed a few great players to add to their secondary in Darious Williams and Kam "the Ram" Curl and they're hosting Tre'Davious White (former all-pro CB for the Bills) as of yesterday. They're doing some great things to add some recognizable stars to the back-end of their defense, but their front-7 is still going to be a concern heading into the season IF they do not properly address the EDGE position. We looked at the full 2024 UFA class, their implications to the salary cap, and what to expect next from Les Snead, Sean McVay and the Rams.

Got a feeling at some point this year, Aaron Donald will be back. The more I look at his contract details, the more it looks as it's structured that if he changes his mind about retiring or if it's late in the season and the Rams look as if they will go deep into the playoffs, Aaron Donald will be back.

A Reddick trade would go a long way towards mending the AD hole (+ a Byron Murphy II draft pick). I've just been staring at my AD jersey I got hanged up on wall and sighing for the past week lol. Great content as always!

I would take Reddick only if it doesn't cost more than a 3rd combined with later round picks from future years but I don't want to give up our 2nd

Rams can't skimp on an edge rusher with AD gone. Pay 1 veteran and grab another early in the draft. I think moving Hoecht inside is a smart move too!! Love the content guys!!! GO RAMS

If we do sign tre white which is an idea I’m shaky on because of the injuries, I still think that’s an upgrade to what we have. Very interesting offseason so far

I believe the writing is on the wall, the Rams are not looking to re-sign Witherspoon at cornerback.
There is no way they could pay both white and Witherspoon.
I myself was never as high on Witherspoon as other ram fans.
To me, he was very vulnerable when teams attacked him down the field he does not have cornerback speed.
Reminds me a lot of Jalen Ramsey, who often when he got beat was deep down field.
Witherspoon has the length which you like at corner but speed is more important at corner when you consider playing the whole field not, just inside the red zone.
Darius Williams and White would be perfect corners.
I hope they go heavy on defense in the draft but I could see them drafting a RB which I won’t hate since they are planning to continue to run the ball a lot especially with Avila and Jackson upgrades in the interior but it all depends on how they feel about Zach Evans going into his second year watching his film I feel like he has good potential and they could possibly be more comfortable utilizing him more with our improved interior
Really like Ronnie Rivers and he’s coming back. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them go with a RB late

I liked that great front 7 that came from St Louis to LA during the Fisher era that McVay inherited in his 1st year as head coach. Also, during their Super Bowl run, Greg Gaines, Sebastian Joseph Day, Leonard Floyd, and Von Miller could get to the quarterback when AD was getting double/triple teamed. All of those other years in LA including last year, AD would be double/triple teamed and no one else could win their one on one matchups to get to the quarterback. I know they have Kobie Turner but that defensive line looks like such a deficiency. I read a source (Ramblin Fan) that stated how weak this draft is for defensive linemen.
It’s not weak. It’s just top heavy.
Let's not diminish the value of the players who are here now, i.e. Brown, Hoeght, Turner, Young and Jones. These guys have talent. AD is a once in a generation talent. Every SB winner, not being the RAMS, over the last decade, didn't have a true ONE OF A KIND DISRUPTER on their D"lines, yet they made it to the dance and hoisted the trophy.

Do you mean White? Kendrick would be the odd man out as White would likely rotate with Cobie, opposite of Darious Williams.
I wish the Rams would just resign Witherspoon. The White injury history over the last 2 seasons is very concerning.

How do you replace the GRAVITY that Aaron Donald drew? I mean, Aaron Donald got Von Miller paid with the Bills and Von Miller wasn't worth HALF what they paid him but that was because when he was with the Rams, it was EASY for Miller, who was in RAPID decline, to make impacts in PRIME TIME. Denver was SO disgusted with Miller, they traded him MID season, paid his salary while he was playing for the Rams and they did it for a 5th round pick...that was what Miller was worth to Denver. Aaron Donald was JUPITER, he draws so much attention and gravity, he changes entire game plans and what offenses will even TRY. The Rams have to REBUILD their entire defense.
You can’t replace him. They’re in the process of overhauling it as much as they can.
