🎶👁👃👁🎵 Congratulations for ‼ 465.000 ‼ - Today we continue with great music. - EJ is our Hero !! 🎶👁👃👁🎵
Yes, yes - The mother of techno music - is an idle topic. But I know the Master of Disaster
    - who else...
    --------------------------
When the mother of techno was born.
    - The modular Moog by American inventor Robert Moog dates back to the 1960s and is considered the first electronic device to be taken seriously.
    - At the beginning of the 60s, commercials with electronic sounds fit well into the beginning age of space travel. The New York composer Raymond Scott was one of the few who was able to create such sounds in his own studio. He had some of the circuits built by a young man who had close contacts with many musicians: Robert Moog.
    - Robert Fantinatto: "His technical knowledge was brilliant and he knew how to do things like that. But he, basically, he only reacted to the wishes with which musicians approached him. And he began to build a custom-made electronic musical instrument. That was at the time when transistors took over what tubes had done up to that point, only they were smaller and much cheaper. It all worked out well."
    - ... says Robert Fantinatto, director of 'I Dream Of Wires'.
    - As an interface between the electronic circuits and the ideas of the musicians, Robert Moog established a keyboard as it was known from the piano. This should lower the inhibition threshold to try out your synthesizer - and increase the desire to buy one. For this, however, you had to be well cashed, because the first devices in 1967 were almost as expensive as a house. With the right idea, however, the purchase could pay off.
    - Musician Walter Carlos recorded Bach Variations with a Moog synthesizer in 1968 - and spent almost three years at No. 1 on the Billboard classical music charts. In California in the early 60s, hardly anyone was interested in commercial success - in the land of the hippies, ideas were more important! At Stanford University, the mouse was developed in 1963 as a complementary input device to the computer keyboard.
    -
    - 'Silver Apples of The Moon' - a milestone in avant-garde music
    - And in music, there were people like Morton Subotnick who wanted to redefine the coexistence of man and machine.
    - Morton Subotnick: "It was zero hour. And I thought to myself, if I work with a black and white keyboard, I'm going to make new old music. But how can I make new new music? It seemed to me that the only option was to do without interfaces that had nothing human about them. This was possible with sensor buttons that can be controlled by touch and gestures."
    - Subotnick had founded the San Francisco Tape Music Center with Ramon Sender in 1962 - actually to experiment with the possibilities of tape. The two also met the engineer Don Buchla there. And with him they began to develop a synthesizer on their own terms.
    - Subotnick: "I had the feeling that we were in a similar phase in music that the printing press had meant for language. That was very exciting. I imagined that in the future, composers would work like painters in their studios without having to meet with musicians. You would just work in your studio and produce a record - just like a painter produces a picture."
    - In 1966 Morton Subotnick moved to New York with a Buchla synthesizer in his luggage and wrote the composition 'Silver Apples of The Moon'. It is considered the first electronic record - and became a milestone in avant-garde music. By the end of the 60s, the synthesizer had arrived in the mainstream as well as in the underground and the avant-garde. And his sounds drew more and more circles.
    - When cheap digital synthesizers came onto the market in the 80s, however, almost all analog ancestors ended up in cellars or were simply put on the street. It was only through acid house and techno that some musicians rediscovered the special qualities of analog equipment in the early 90s. And some hobbyists even started developing new modular synthesizers.
The demand for these devices, in which the individual components can be connected by the musician himself with cables, is increasing to this day. And the sounds are always timeless!
