- After a 3-0 win to kickoff the sendoff series against South Africa, the USWNT will head to St. Louis with two games remaining before heading to France for the Women's World Cup. They're taking on the Football Ferns of New Zealand. Last time these two teams met in St. Louis, it was April 4, 2015 as the US won that game by a 4-0 scoreline.

So if Press, Llloyd, Mewis and others are very capable of starting, do you ultimately split time between Horan, Rapinoe, Morgan, heath...Lavelle more evenly? I write this way after the WWC but it is interesting to see how time should be split with confidence in backups

So, the US women's team is on top. No question. But when are one of you ladies going to learn to do the back flip bicycle kick like what made Pele and Jugo Sanchez famous? The opportunities are there, 26:50 again at 104:30 and one more at 115:45 - all would have been the time for it. C'mon Morgan, Lloyd or Rapino; someone belly up to the bar!
ok, I see where you are coming from, but I think in any situation the more practical the better. yea Hugo Sanchez may have done that and become famous, but if it's not practical there not gonna try it in a game. They can probably do bicycle kicks but its really risky to do that in a game. men's pro soccer tends to be less of a match and more of just a showcase to show off skills. it tends to be really cocky, women's pro soccer is more realistic.
Ian Dark is a nice man.....not the best announcer for Julie Foudy.

When I say this i am not saying they are bad players. Heath and Lavelle need to get the ball moving more and sooner. Heath tries too much to go 1v1. Just get the ball moving. Morgan would be opened up more if Heath just passed earlier or just went. Lavelle has the ability to spin and change but get the ball moving.
I'm not disagreeing with you but, That's what Heath does best. She goes for the 1v1, that's her skill her footwork. She good at that, she said she plays like that so people entertained because when she watches soccer she likes seeing the footwork, seeing people getting out of tight spaces.
I admire Tobin Heat's amazing dribbling skills but it has no positive end results. She is a momentum killer looking for a high light reels. I was so disappointed w/her biggest game of her life against Netherlands. She unbelievably ducked in the wall and she has several chances to score but decided to try to nutmegged instead. She should be subbed out around 65 minutes.

@@camag9427 I have said this so many times about Heath. I wouldn't mind her doing all that if it were actually productive but most of the time it leads to nothing. Great player but I completely agree with you about Heath.
