I loved this game so much that I literally emailed AEG to send you a copy for review. I have no clue if they saw my email but im glad they sent it to you. I am also glad you enjoyed it.
One of my favorite strategies with this game is repeatedly calling the same material. It makes my opponents start getting tunnel vision on the junk pieces and stop noticing my board, so they call the materials that I need to make my buildings in comfort.
The WHAT! Tiny towns is my favorite board game ever (possibly bc I’m lonely and I don’t own any other single player board games) and I have never heard of that.
According to the rulebook, which states: "Building layouts may be mirrored/flipped and rotated, as long as the configuration of resources remains the same"... I believe it is still legal.
Man here I am watching all these board game videos and thinking how fun they all sounds but then realize that I can never play them because I don't have friends and my family thinks that any game they haven't played before is too complicated and refuse to learn it.
Not sure where you live and COVID be damned, but many cities (or Tiny Towns, lol) have social game groups that will meet up to play games. If you have one, check with your local game shop and see if they know of any. You also might find something on eventbrite or meetup.com. oooor, start your own and find people like you that wanna play. You deserve to play these fun games with good people, so keep seeking them out!
I don't know if theycan be considered small but phil jamieson(?) and Ryan george make different types of skits, especially ryan georges are much longer, like two minutes, but i really enjoy them
I would like to recommend a manga thats much better than the anime. Its called Team Bachi - Letter Bee I'll just give a quick summary of the manga. It's based in a world in near darkness only lit by stars and the artificial sun above the capital. There is a postal service called the Letter Bee(s) and the employees have to leave city next to the capital called Yuusari. They have to traverse the dangerous land scape to get to villages and cities away from the capital to deliver these letters. The danger that lurks in these lands are called Gaichuu giant metal insects that feed off the memories of their victims leaving them as husks of their former selves. Only a Letter Bee can defeat them as they are trained and tested against these monsters along with their dingo's (Basically a familiar). The manga has points where you laugh, tense up and cry as you watch the journey and adventure of Lag Seeing
More stuff you say? Then you should check out the expansions that add mechanics like an economic system and villagers. It completely changes the game and becomes more diplomatic and strategic.
Bit unclear, are all buildings available (that’s a lot of referencing/planning between turns) or are only a handful available to each player and you make a plan based on what you’re dealt? Monuments seem to be unique to players, but wasn’t sure if building are or not
Buildings are the same for all players. There are however, different cards for each building, of which you select one of them for each game, allowing for greater replayability.

I love tiny towns!!! I bought that last year to play with my parents (they aren't the best at picking up new board games) and it was super fun!!
I was literally just thinking yesterday if you were going to review this, what a coincidence!
I just bought this a week ago! So glad to see your review on it
I miss your skits, but I'm suprised how well you do these reviews. Makes. up a lot great work!
This was a very clear overview. Thank you, SungWon.
SUCH a good game... it has so much hidden strategic depth but is also really easy to pick up. And it doesn't take hours to play!
i love this game and i’m so glad you’re doing it
The resources were actually in the wrong formation to build a cottage.
They’re going to keep sending you games! That’s super exciting!
