Akathist to the Mother of God “Softener of Evil Hearts” (Умягчение злых сердец)

Eastern Orthodox Christian prayers for enemies and against sorrow. This Akathist is prayed for enduring difficulties with family members, spouses, those in the workplace, those that hate us, those that persecute/slander us, etc.
Also known as "Softener of Hardened Hearts", "Softener of Wicked Hearts"
Disclaimer: I'm not a professional singer, so I apologize for the many mistakes/mispronunciations (and when I was off key!) I made during the recording; I tried my best. My intent was to record this for all with hearts too heavy and sorrowful to lift up their voice in prayer themselves, hoping they may at least pray along in spirit.
A bit about the icon:
“Prayer before this icon dissolves hatred. All who pray before the icon feel smoothing of their own heart and lessen of distress. People pray before this icon for cure from contagious diseases, from lameness and other forms of infirmities, as well as for peaceful resolution between enemies. All those who turn to the icons of the Mother of God in prayer sense that with the softening of evil hearts comes an easing of spiritual and physical suffering. People come to recognize that when they pray for their enemies before such icons, their feelings of enmity are softened, and that internecine strife and hatreds abate, giving way to kindness.”
