thanks for all the tips! I personally have always my book with me, even if I don't have the time to read it.. it's just that if I have some extra time after an exam, if I'm finished earlier or something like that, I know that instead of going on my phone, I have my book with me so I need to read it because I don’t want to have taken it with me for nothing!
I love your enthusiasm for reading :) Even when it's somewhat of a chore :D I just break my reading down into a "do I want to have to reset my Kindle reading stats again" Yes/No .... Which is a No, so I make sure to read either first thing in the morning, or last thing at night (before midnight); with at least 30 mins of reading time. The 30 mins of reading time is so that I personally consider it reading. Kindle may consider anything less as reading, and therefore will have counted the day as being 'read', however I won't have felt that I would have accomplished anything off my reading goals. I'm juggling 4-5 books at the moment. Some I can't quite get past the first couple of chapters, and others because I just feel it's not the right time for me; and also I spoiled myself with picking up an 'olde faithful' last month and now I can't get past many other books without wanting to dart back into the other Universe. So, I took a cheeky way out and found a New Author (so, that's a win), but in a reverse harem ... anyway - I picked that up; it was good for what it was; something to drop me out of Universe mode and now I'm ready to find a new one. :) February goals are now looking obtainable. :D Morning reads, before other things & night reads before sleep and I get at least 30-60 mins in a day at the very least. :)
I am literally so excited for you to read the shadow hunter books again!! They are so magical and the fact that we are gonna read some of them together IS EVERYTHINGGGG.The tripod looks fantastic but how can it not when I recommended it.. hehe. Love you so so much.
I loved the Midnight Library when I read it. It was a bit intense but I think it was really beautiful and I really needed its message when I was reading it. I hope everything goes well with your internship!! I also want to get a bit more into Cassandra Clare but I might skip the Mortal Instruments because I hear the other 'series' are better
And this week, I read The Fountains Of Silence by Ruta Sepetys (so good!!) and I'm finishing today The Picture of Dorian Gray and so far, I have mixed feelings about it...
I've had Dorian Gray for years, and as part of my 2022 goals I'm to read at least 1 unread book from the last decade for every new purchase; so this month Dorian Gray is Tribute. And as much as I've loved the myth that has been built around the character and the stories that have been told; I'm finding the Original .... dry. I know it's the language of the time; and I know that the messages the book had were controversial and it was a masterpiece (I don't doubt it), I am just finding that perhaps this was not for me. And to be honest it should have been read in January so now I'm a book behind my goal ... It's not a bad good and I think it should be read (at least by me), I'm just not ready for it's dryness. But, when will I be this year? hehe. I hope you get to finish it :)
@@queryalways your comment was so interesting to me! I'm planning on finishing it today because there's just a few pages left and i want to start my week with new possibilities. but i agree, it's like the words in the book are there but the book isn’t working on it. It’s like giving me the ingredients for a dish and telling me to do it myself. which on the one hand, remains interesting, but on the other hand makes the book very flat and lacking something.. I am not an expert on classics but this one almost gives me the impression of being a classic because there is a lot to say and to take away if the work of reflection is done from the beginning to the end by the reader.. So it must be really interesting to work on it in class but to read it alone... maybe that’s not how it should be read..
an amazing reading vlog :) have a good week
