East pit Tairgwaith

A nice walk along the path from Tairgwaith to the East Pit Lake, this lake used to be part of an open cast mine until recently, when work stopped and they let it fill it with water, the water is many hundred feet deep. The intention is to build a diving centre at the lake, hence the Turrets old tank., buoys and boats, there are many jetties scattered around too. The area is also home to many sheep and cattle together with some geese.
