It kinda sucks to see Rio be looked over in a sense because of the spanish verses. It's a whole CULTURE behind the words that often gets lost in translation. He may not talk about topics on a grand scheme like the rest, but his focus on individual mentality is just as important as the focus on social contexts. His verse was fire and I especially appreciated his "sana sana colito de rana" scheme as that was a saying that my grandmother often told us when we got hurt.

Eric is talking about the industry, Ras and Taj are talking about their journey and how they're rolling now, but Rio is straight up talking life is spanish THEN switching up completely, flow, language, attitude, energy... Rio Loz is on the Mount with them.
Rio is my favorite because he brings the pain and message. He’s definitely the one that’s overlooked in the group but if you really listen to his message it’ll hit just as hard as the crazy double and triples the rest are putting out. RIOs got crazy doubles and triples too but he focuses more on the message which I appreciate and makes very relatable.
I know people compare each member each time and many I not most think Rio is the so called "weak" link. Rio is the glue, his ability is as unique as the others and until now if you don't speak Spanish we only experience him through how he flows but the level of skill it takes to flip back and forth on beat and flow from another language is rash for HIM but we underestimate how difficult that is to do. The group wouldn't be the same without him.

Dumbo use to be called Gairville way back and it was changed to DUMBO. It's actually not Dumbo but D.U.M.B.O and it stands for “down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass”. We also have RAMBO which is "Right After the Manhattan Bridge Overpass". I'm from Brooklyn, East New York. Brooklyn and New York itself has tons of history and things. You can spend hours and hours discovering stuff. For example, the Native American tribes, Mohicans and Iroquois lived in New York State. Natives use to call Manhattan "Manahatta". There's not a weak link in that group. Rio speaks for the slums, immigrants and shows all of his culture in his verses. I can appreciate things get lost in translation but every time Rio spits he is not speaking Spanish as a Gimmick he is literally speaking about half of himself in his native tongue. I agree with you that Eric is the best he is for sure the most well-rounded Ras and Taj are pocket masters and have by far the most introspective bars. Each of these boys are quality rappers but together? Untouchable by Modern Rappers without question!

Let me tell you I love Eric Jamal's energy and styles especially his Turntable scheme and cadence made me go nuts! That being said I've always said RAS in the one to watch.. his lyricism and style switches are nearly perfect this guy meditates for sure. Taj is a true poet.
Eric sounds incredibly original and his own cadence but I hear so many influences there. I thought the same thing Taj was channeling Kendrick. Rio sounded like Method Man when he was speaking English. Raz reminded me a lot of Big Sean at parts but also very unique. That's pretty high praise to give though.... these guys are insanely talented. I wouldn't be surprised if they ghost write for rappers. They deserve their own shine I'm not sure if they want to make records though but they could totally tour with this act for real hip hop heads and make a good living.

Rio is definitely not a weak link 😂 Rio is the nitty gritty of the group that gives you the real life bars that the others don’t. Sure the others also give you positive messages but no where close to how Rio gives it.
He definitely keeps the group the most grounded and not letting things get to their heads. Like Ras verse literally said how they started to become disobedient to their true selves.
Fax Rio stays on point. You can do the complex bars and all that but stays on the message and make sure it gets to us.
On Cosmic Kev everyone was spazzin but Rio kept his cool and reminded everyone abt the work that went into his success and what’s its done for him. And he spat some political stuff while everyone else was talking abt top five’s and the current state of rap which is important but it shows how much he cares for the people and the future our lives. They all do but Rio stays on that topic.
He's not a weak link per se but he's not on the other 3's level. Sure he's got the grit and the voice but his wordplay, lyricism and complexity of bars involving deep societal/political/spiritual issues the other 3 tackle are not on par and that's facts.

If you have been paying attention at all to Rio his messages are about you yourself and self-reflection. That is his style and it doesn't need to done in doubles and triples to be good. E is a story teller in his styles that's literally why can you imagine what he is doing. Ras has disgusting flow changes and Tag by far has the smoothest bar flows and wordplay.

They all will be. After their freestyles blew up over a year ago a lot of people said, Eric would be huge if he goes solo, if they get rid of Rio they would be huge,... People don't get it. They are different. They lived together in a small apartment. They make it together or they fail together. Taj even raps about it: "They wanna see divide".
