The name stands for “two-liter, two-door sedan”. Extremely Clean, Original, 1976 BMW 2002 Coupe with 87K Original Miles featured in Chamonix (085) with Blue Interior. Equipment includes Euro-style bumpers, Koni shocks, Weber carburetor, Pertronix electronic ignition, 13" steel wheels, air conditioning, Euro-style front turn signal lenses, a locking fuel cap, dual side mirrors, pop-out rear windows, and chrome trim. Recent work of this last year of production 2002 includes replacment of the ignition components, water pump, starter motor, fuel pump, thermostat, rear brake wheel cylinders and shoes, and the muffler. The 2002 is perhaps the most famous of BMW’s “New Class” line, and revitalized the Bavarian automaker’s historically underwhelming international reputation. The world was captivated by the 2002’s attractive blend of power, agility and style in addition to its reasonable price tag. Production ran from 1967 through 1976 and values of this classic have been strong over the past few years.
