Twinkie is WORKING! 1.Singing her part, 2.leading the band, 3. playing keys along with the band, 4 .narrating the concert performance, 5. directing the voices....yall 5 jobs in one and not a one going lacking.... Nobody else could EVER!!!
I don't care what anyone says Twinkie is a musical G E N I U S period and I thank God for her gift and how he moves through her and uses her for his glory and to uplift his people Love You Twinkie
She had to!!! Remember she sold the rights to all of her songs before the 90s really. It’s truly remarkable how God has gifted her to be able to do it so well!
A lot of her songs were written before they were recorded and when they are recorded there is always something different about it. Listen to Name it and Claim it in 81 and she actually had a verse and then Dorinda and Karen. Or even For the Love of the people. There’s a video of Karen and Twinkie live in 1982 singing it and it sounds totally different then they recorded it in 87 with a while different sound.
WHOA!!!! DORINDA!!! PLEAZE TELL IT LIKE IT IS... GOD KNOWS THAT IS THE TRUTH... THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR TODAY IN THE CHURCH WORLD... I LOVE THAT ANGELIC ALTO VOICE OF HERS' GOD WAS REALLY USING THESE POWERFUL WOMEN SINCE BABYS WOW... GLORYYYY!!!!
Twinkie just does something to my soul whew Lawd... She can make that organ talk and she goes all across the board vocally, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark is definitely smiling down especially after the movie... Just a blessed, talented, gifted and anointed group!!! #TheBest #QueensOfGospel
I've sen this a lot, and I'm just now realizing that Dorinda was singing the soprano part on "Name it, Claim it" (the song at the beginning). Just awesome! I can't wait to see and meet them in concert in Feb
J D OKAY?!? People don't understand that her jazzy alto (for one thing, they always think she was the tenor and she was NOT back then),with all those little subtle things that she does & her unique tone is a HUGE part of the Clark's unique sound.
I love these Women Soooooo very much....They're A Very Happy childhood Memory for me. These women taught me how to sing ( mostly Karen Dorinda & Twinkie ) I would listen to them constantly growing up. Even at my Great Aunt's House Especially The Bringing it back home tape. I wore it out lol
When I think of 90s Detroit gospel, I think of the Clark Sisters, the Winans and God's World Book Store and when Wayne T Jackson had all those shops on Grand River.
Let's pray for those who are coming to our country illegally. There is a strong reason, for them fleeing their country, we in the United States don't have a clue. So pray that our Lord will continue providing protection, shelter, and food in this country. God will continue blessing our country. To whom much is given, much is required. Luke 12:48 Jesus demands it!
Why is it majority of the comments when it comes to the Clark sisters or any video on TH-cam 85% of the comment is about their skill and never about the lyrics why is that they are singing gospel people and there’s a message in the songs but we are so focused on the skill level who sings hi who sings low who does this who sings that part now I’m a musician so I understand that and I like that as well on the skill level sad but let’s not forget that they are ministering to and gospel music has the lyrics and they are saying a message to Us
At most concerts people are impressed with vocal runs and tricks, especially in gospel. It seems that many folks don’t get filled until the vocal acrobatics kick in. Oddly enough it appears that lyrics are more important in rap lyrics nowadays. Guess folks just like being entertained. #NotJudging
did anyone else notice when Karen hits her high falsetto note "its YOOOOURS" at 0.44 she breaths in then right before blows out a little then she sucks in the air instead of singing in out?! I can do that too and hit the same note and im a dude haha
