FII's have sold and DII's have bought at a lower price (which means they would have got higher qty for the same quantum of money pumped in). So net FII's selling makes a big difference in market correction and in my view we shouldn't see that there is only a net 7000cr selling

I am just amazed to see how fast people's view change over night. Few weeks back everybody was so high.
Exhilaration is like a heady drug. First, it makes you lie back in your chair in a sort of ecstasy ,feeling strong, vigorous and alert. Then by degrees, like a chilling wind, doubt begins to creep upon you -faintly at first, then more and more insistently, till by the end of a quarter of an hour you are in a state of pronounced self-mistrust.
Or, to put it with less elegance, you end up suffering from an exceedingly severe attack of cold feet.
Consistent compounders have not given any returns from last 5 years !
Example - Kotak, HDFC Bank, Asian paints, Berger paints, HUL, Nestle India and many more !
In last 2-3 years, only mid cap and small cap companies have given huge returns....
But these blue chip companies have not given any returns !
Can anybody explain why ? Just a beginner here trying to learn!
Company you mentioned where high pe 5 years ago and there growth is not even in single digit how do you expect them to go up

Asian Paints has doubled its profit in last 5 years, Berger paints has almost doubled in last 5 years....
HUL and Nestle India are defensive stocks and have grown as expected.....

It is easy to ignore shifts in mutual fund nav or index fund returns. In the longterm you make money only.
But stock portfolio is an entirely different matter. A stock in longterm may go up, down , sideways or disappear entirely altogether.

Even with Nifty at 23500,the valuations are too high and need further correction in the wake of economic slowdown,FII profit booking,higher inflation at 6.2,lower earnings in Q2 by key stocks or sectors like FMCG,Auto,Paint,micro finance etc.
As per the trend,the slowdown could continue till Q4 of current fiscal.
Since massive SIP inflow to MF prevail from retail segment,market crash will be softer as corrections spanning several months ahead.FII might run after china stocks and US bonds abandoning Indian stocks for now.

FII's have sold and DII's have bought at a lower price (which means they would have got higher qty for the same quantum of money pumped in). So net FII's selling makes a big difference in market correction and in my view we shouldn't see that there is only a net 7000cr selling

The third reason for FIIS going out is Indian Govt. Data manipulation, which is now talk in the world.
Once the assembly polls are over markets will start rally which will continue till budget session. Some politicians are offloading for 'election funds' (to buy votes obviously) and some funds (MFs) are avoiding buying just for the obvious reasons viz FII year end, elections and inflations.
