I met the Pir for lunch at our Sufi house in Boulder, CO and he was doing talks and meditation sessions, Wonderful Being!!! I at 17 years old saw him with my teacher come out of his room after sleeping in the morning and he said this, pointing at his at the body, is my space suit for planet Earth, Haha
My wife and I studied with PVIK from 1983 until his passing. His father, Hazrat Inayat Khan and late Sister, Noor, are notable historically significant figures.He was a graduate of both Oxford and the Sorbonne. All three are published authors as is Zia, his son and current director of the Inayati Order.. PVIK was at Normandy beach during the WWII invasion and survived the destruction of his mine sweeper.As a journalist he exposed France’s atrocities during the Algerian war of independence.There.are many charlatans and hypocrites among religious and spiritual assemblies. Pir Viliyat was one of the ‘real ones’ and upheld Sufi principles and lived his ideals.
