You described the middle aged reseller perfect lmao i go thrifting with my mother sometimes and we spot them every time. Middle aged, baseball cap, athletic shoes and the shorts Lmao
As a 38 year old reseller I'm glad to know that I haven't worn a baseball hat since I was 14 probably, I only wear shorts in my house (jeans year round), and I only wear Vans or Chucks. I'm like the middle aged reseller anti-hero. Fuck yeah.
Keep in mind that CP Shades is going to have a worse sell through right now since they are more summery/spring stuff, I do expect it to go up in time. It's also very style/size dependent
do you recommend flee markets / consignment stores / savers if goodwills in your area are highly shopped? where I live there are resellers that stay at stores for 3-4 hours a day waiting for the new racks and it's practically hopeless going to old racks.
It hurts me so bad that you don't know Chris Isaak. lol. Musically he's a cool retro 60's rockabilly kinda dude but he is really funny. He had a sitcom on Showtime years ago. It's worth a watch if you can find it streaming. I would totally get that shirt in my size !!
Yumbo, you noticing 505’s selling all of the sudden? I’m all of the sudden selling a shit ton of Vtg and modern 505’s that I picked up and listed before I realized they were kinda ass. Just curious if they’ve picked up for you too?
Those old men you describe definitely have a better sell through rate on their stores. Learning by losing money? Seems like the wrong person is being made fun of. Your store use to be 100% and now its way below. Makes sense with your lose money strategy. Props.
@ you still have a great store so don’t get me wrong. I think it’s silly though for you to bash “old” people because they are doing what a good seller should be doing. Items change all the time - Greyson polos are a perfect example. They started selling them at TJ MAXX and the ST rate plummeted. So when you see people looking up items, it’s not because they’re newbies or don’t know what they’re doing. It’s because they know exactly what they’re doing. if you want to grab things, lose money and learn from your mistakes that way, go for it. However, criticizing people for doing it the correct way is off putting.
I soak them for multiple days with laundry sanitizer and water. And then hang them outside for more days. Sometimes the smell just never goes away. I’ve tried it all.
@@bigyumbo It said they are going to default to "Good" for everything - Are you going to leave your things 'good" or edit some of them to say "Excellent or Fair"?

@ The USA Textile Products Identifications Act, 1960 mandated the use of fabric content labels. And then there is something with date 1968. Anything after 68 will have the percentage % , ie 100% wool, anything before 68 usually says all wool And then if there is no all or % and just has the word wool, it’s old, old, pre 1960.

Ten new ones spawn every day from the technsports pipeline. No hate though. Just an observation about a specific reseller archetype.

Sweet haul but that sweater gets the 👍👍👍
you're my favorite youtuber
Thanks yumbie I bet those Moab 3 are comfy
Rooting for you to succeed! Love your videos and learn so much from you.
I'm rooting for you, Manson.
Good haul. I am surprised to see how much good stuff you got at Saver's. My Saver's is nearly always really bad. Great video and some bangers too!
We have five savers here. You just gotta hit them every day.

Great score on those hiking shoes.
Keanu Reeves been seen wearing the first shoes you showed the merrell ones , nice grab.

Make friends with the new rack guys.
The pendleton talon zippers are from the 50s and early 60s
Jacket is worth some cash. Good collector piece i believe
Nah nah that’s a newer jacket.
@bigyumbo oh well it's a cool coat anyway

Spot on with the 40's thrift store guys. Checks out her in NC too. But wait- you're banned from where?
U dawg! Another reversible military jacket 🤘
How's the sewing machine been?
I’ve fixed probably 50 things and made them sellable. I’ve completely ruined about 15 items though. I suck. Still learning.

How do you get 20% off items that are new coming to the floor like the Miller Lite Jacket?
Savers discounts work on everything.
Lol your thoughts on the 40 year old reseller- that's soon to be me, but I don't do that. :) Tell us about your background. You make fun videos!
Great hauls
If you can truly get $250 for that reversible camo jacket, take it to a seamstress or tailor and have the zipper replaced. Should cost less than $30.

Sounds like I struck a nerve. Yeah my average sell through is 6 months now, but I nearly doubled my ASP by ditching the aggressive sales and coupons.

What do you do with jackets that have that vintage must? I've tried spraying with vodka and isopropyl alcohol and no luck.

Try washing with a cup of vinegar in the wash
cardigin looks fire
so are the new clothing conditions going to hurt clothing resellers?
I don’t think so. People are scared of everything.

Are you selling the brown cardigan you wore at the first half of your video? I’ll buy it from your dirty laundry pile
My Gucci? Nah I paid $2700 for that.
Awe man 😢 it suits you though.
Engelburt Strauss is on of the other Levi’s bros brands in Europe im pretty sure.
