Having acknowledged and avowed that, what rarely is addressed in Tarot is, profound mental illness. In my case, an unknown to me diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder was responsible for all of the things that "just didn't make sense' about my counterpart's absurd-to-me, behavior. After being informed, I sought professional assistance to help me understand the unwell thought process of my person. What I learned was devastating & heartbreaking. Had I known about this illness from the beginning, I might have been prepared for the extreme dynamics to come. But mental illness is either undiagnosed, diminished or hidden due to shame by those who suffer it's ravages. In the instance of BPD, the loved ones of the afflicted are known to experience as much or more distress because of the complexities and associated inability especially to help; or even cognate what's happening forensically. Here's a last little bit of too much information that I would only share with beloved Astraea & her enlightened audience. Something about myself unhealthily attracts partners with BPD & associated co morbidities. So at last, after this fifth significant relationship that ended in a similar psychological catastrophe, I took the time for a very distinct & deep dive into my own role in crafting the scenerio that led to the wreckage. While unlike my partner I had & have no diagnosis, the relationship could not have been created without my participation. And like the old axiom says, "ignorance of the law is no excuse." Had I researched & corrected my own 'proclivities' long ago when the first of my five ladyfriends expressed the dynamics of her illness, I would not have started the subsequent four relationships with ladies who's mental illnesses were in accord with the first. Finally, because I love Jesus & trust that God is giving me exactly what will allow me to ascend ultimately, I am certain of the beauty in what have been excruciatingly painful eras in my life. And, because in terms of mental health, I'm functioning healthily, the responsibility for these failed relationships is predominantly mine, because my partners were infirmed and less able to direct our unions appropriately or successfully. That last bit helps exponentially when forgiving everyone. The main thing is; I now get it - & at 59, not a moment to soon. I have the peace of mind that comes with knowing my spirit made certified progress upwards on specific aspects of being that were & are elemental to my supreme divine ascendancy during this sojourn. My mom had BPD. My psychologist said it's akin to PTSD for attachment. They push pull everyone close to them and medication works but they rarely use it. Talk therapy works the best, just hourly psychologist sessions. But out of all the cluster b personality disorders, this is the hardest to treat.

You are spot on and have told down to the last detail the struggle I’ve been in with my soon to be ex and his karmic attorney who is representing him in the divorce. She just decided that I am a worthless human being because I do not have an MD like my soon to be ex and I am not an attorney therefore I am worthless and I deserve nothing. She is also fixated on the house I fixed up for me and my ex that I currently live in with my son. She was trying to take it for herself for years but now it seems she’s resigned that she can’t have it but she still doesn’t want me to have it. This is the most demonic energy I have ever encountered. I didn’t know people like this even existed in the world. I’m sure that I am going through this to shine a light in someway. And I’m so grateful that God has brought me through this to this point and I know in my heart that God is going to allow me to shine a light on these people so that I can help save other people from this kind of abuse and harassment from people who are supposed to be licensed professionals who are supposed to be guiding people at the most vulnerable time in their lives. I give all thanks to God and my angels in my ancestors who have brought me through this far. It is ironic because although this woman has been trying to destroy me for years what she’s actually done is immensely strengthen my spiritual knowledge, my relationship with my guides in my ancestors, and my faith and understanding that God knows and sees everything even when we don’t think he’s watching.
When in pain, some of us lash out to those that hurt us even if we have no right to and they don't deserve it. If the connection is stronger so is the pain, and so is the lashout. It's a matter of not being yourself and letting the pain control you, letting the devil out and watching the world burn in that moment. This is one of the answers to "why would someone do this". Darkest night happened to them with many factors combined and culminating, and they pressed the red button. In the aftermath, being glad that it backfired and that Sweetheart is not harmed by it would be all that matters, rest is up to Karma.
