Today, in the modern sense, this region consists of: "Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, in addition to neighboring border areas such as Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, these include the Syrian regions that were annexed to Turkey during the French Mandate over Syria, i.e. Antioch, Clikia, Alexandretta, Urfa, Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, and others.
