這盤棋無論是棋風跟手段，完全不像吳大師，有些棋著甚至是故意將自己撞到坂田的剃刀上。我猜想吳現在已經站穩第一人，之前為了上九段的十番棋賽，對關西棋院放水太明顯，想必得罪很多人。這次故意輸給坂田，一則可以讓日本棋院釋懷，修補一下關係；另一方面也可以讓之前輸給低段位棋士的行為合理化。這樣的中和作法，頗符合吳大師的風格
