***CORRECTION*** The JIBUN TECHO in this video is an A5 SLIM! I am sorry for giving incorrect information: Length 21.8 cm / 8.6 inches Width 13.6 cm / 5.4 inches
Great video comparison. I use both. I started with the Hobonichi Cousin, but didn't want to have my personal journaling out with me where others could get their hands on it. So I still do my weekly planning in both, but carry the Jibun A5 slim in my purse. FYI: The three symbols at the bottom are for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
This year (2020) the standard cover now has Kokuyo THIN paper, and I will love to see a review of the Jibun Techo soon! As for the built-in weather, meal and mood tracker icons, if I don't want to fill it in as intended I simply write over them since the color is quite light. You don't need to be dictated by those tiny icons. I adore my Jibun Techo because it is so light and portable, and I don't bother investing in another planner for dailies. Anddd all the other planners (EC, HP, PP and others) are just too heavy for my preference.
Thank you for sharing how you just ignore the icons;) I am not planning to buy one to review for this year...but ya never know;) Thanks for chiming in!
I am curious, that Jibun looks like an A5 slim. I think the B6 slim would not be as tall as the hobonichi. The B6 is 125 x 210mm, 7.5 x 4.7 inches and the A5 slim is 136 x 217mm, 8.6 x5.4 inches.
Thank you for correcting me! You are right of course! When looking at it....just by sight.....I should have caught that:( I do not want to confuse people! I will put a correction down in the description, and will work on later seeing if I can edit it within TH-cam so I don't have to take it down and completely re-upload a new video. Thank you!
You are both right! I will put correction in the description box for now, and work on what I can do to edit it later tonight. Thank you, and I am sorry!
I actually really love the look and functionality of this planner. I actually like it better than the cousin because I don't use daily pages. I also love that it doesn't have a coil to write around. This one for sure made it right to the top of my radar.
I started using the Jibun A5 slim this year, I really like it and also really want to try a cousin. The dream page I made as a Goal page, I love the Books and Quotes pages , the Mio paper is so great for every pen I’ve tried and even though I have the Idea booklet I am using the Moleskine Cahier books ( sold in 3 packs at Target and the perfect size in a Wide TN for both) for quick brain dump/bullet journaling .. this is working great for me I also got the clear cover from jet pens and traded out the plain Biz cover, now I can change up my cover look with Scrapbook paper
Thank you so much for sharing. Someone on my IG was asking about how the Cahier book fit with the jibun so this is very helpful to know;) I love that you made the book work for you by using the dream page for goals. Thanks for sharing all that helpful information about the cover too;) And that Mio paper! Have a great week;)
That that would be a good playlist to have .....It will take me a few hours to search though all the vids to create it. I will put it on my list. I might not happen till the summer when I have a bit more time. But I do appreciate the suggestion! I might just start it now and just add the videos I do from here on out. Then hopefully over the summer I can go through all the older videos and try to add those;) Thank you!
Yes, they did have a B5 size daily book. It was the newest edition to the jibun techo series. They sold out super quick, but I think since they had an instant hit with them that they will have much more in stock for this year :)

I love the MIO paper in it! I wish Hobonichi used the MIO paper! Love to hear that this is on your radar;) It's really an amazing little book!

Very much enjoyed this video! Big thanks to the person who sent you the Jibun too.
Yes! HUGE thanks to her:) I am glad you enjoyed it;)
could you please have a playlist of undated planners

@@AmandasFavorites thank you
Thank you so much for this! I've been thinking about using a Jibun Tech for planning next year.
I absolutely love the MIO paper in the Biz edition! So different from the Tomoe River paper!
what size is the nib on the hobinibhi pen? .38 or .5 or .7 ?
Their website says it is a .5 , but since it's made in Japan it writes like a .38 in US pens.
A daily page is a bit much for me. I use planners for utility as a college student. So, yah >.
I think you are are right that Jibun does have a days version....I am not positive though.
Yes, they did have a B5 size daily book. It was the newest edition to the jibun techo series. They sold out super quick, but I think since they had an instant hit with them that they will have much more in stock for this year :)
Think of it as "gee boon". Hope that helps.
Thank you!
totally off topic, but has anyone told you you sound just like Julia Roberts??? Love your videos!
I have heard that at least once before, and I love Julia Roberts....so of course I love that comment:) Thank you!
Thank you for the very nice video))
You are so welcome:) Have a wonderful week:)
Umm..... it is JIBUN .... not JUBIN (you kept saying JUBIN in the video 😀).... 🤣😂🤣😂 thank you for your review. Great effort! 👐🏻
Thank you, and sorry you had to live with that though the whole video!
