hi,steve here---i have one (74),and they are a blast off-road---first and second gear,if you can hang on,will climb most any thing,BUT,deep ruts will grab the wheel and keep you there---ground clearence, not super great--they will lug down pretty good, but like any 2 stroke,a quick slap of the clutch and some r's will bring it back up in the power band---with the big tires, mud and snow are not a problem--if you do water crossings, seal the points cover with silicon, they will get wet and kill the machine until they dry out
I had a ‘73 bought new. Mine was green. Did 60 mph. Great bike and I wish they still made them.
How do you like it off-road? Ever try any rough trails on it?
There's one near me for $300. I think I want to make it dirt specific.

Is it a two stroke?
yes, they're an auto mix 2 stroke, I have 1 bike restored and another 4 in parts in my workshop, something to keep me busy over summer :)
