I would say they just different and not off. We are just not used to how instruments in these songs sound live and they probably took some liberties to make it work live. I also think they did it very well, since i feel like they actually sound off in older recordings, where they don't seem used to playing to crowds.
I just saw Caravan Palace live. On stage they sound really close to the studio version, but a mobile phone's microphone somewhere in the crowd just cannot deliver the same quality.
Thanks for recording this. I tried recording most of it in Detroit but I don't think I recorded this song. One of my favorites.
