Finally someone who agrees with me on Guardians. The ride is now "fun" instead of "creepy". As for the exterior, I get what they tried to do, but it still looks like tower of terror with graffiti. I still enjoy it a lot, I just like it as Tower of Terror more.
I was always more of a fan of Tower in Florida anyway, so I'm glad they went in another direction completely with Guardians at DCA. I found I enjoyed the ride experience a lot more since the overlay, but I understand people's mixed reactions. Pixar Pier really comes alive at night! Great video, mate
What a lovely park! Went one time way back in 2006 so I didn't get to experience all the new updates. It almost looks like California Adventure is a combination of Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in terms of theming and attraction ride systems. Everything blends so well together and the transition from one area to the next is brilliant!
I think you'd like , Guardians allot more if you rode the Monsters After Dark version. It's essentially everything missing from what you thought was missing from the ride. I can see why it's not for everyone but personally it's my favourite ride in the whole park
I've watched a lot of Disneyland video's and you are a Professional!! You need to continue doing video's. I'm so impressed with you. You should be paid big bucks! Now I know I want to take our big group of 10 people to this park. A real professional! Thank you so much! To go back and do the night rides was so smart! Holding that foldered up throw up bag and acting like you were throwing up was as funny as that comedian Ricky Garvis on the swinging ferris wheel made me show people and we were dying laughing at that. 100% agree about Tower, I miss our older version so much. Had a much wider range of emotion and felt more like a full story, even if it was just 2 acts
Hey ! Just wanted to let you know that I am rewatching every Disney theme park vlog you've made during these self quarantine times. And it brings me so much joy.
I feel like to really love mission breakout you have to be a big Marvel fan, the reason they pick that sort of music is because of the soundtrack to both movies
I know that about the soundtrack to the movies, which is one of the reasons why I had to watch Guardians of the Galaxy, even though I'm not a fan of Marvel, but I watched Vol. 2 on Netflix, awesome movie and soundtrack. The ride is very different and some of the feels are mixed like the outside is ugly looking, inside is really neat looking and then the ride itself gets tacky, just my opinion based on video since I don't live close enough to California to actually experience this for myself.
I definitely agree with the topic of guardians of the galaxy. The exterior isnt the best and I think the whole hotel theme suits the ride alot better. Good vlog again shawn 👍
Disney really needs to get going on building a new theme park because those vlogs where Shawn visits a new Disney park for the first time are TH-cam gold, love watching and hearing your first reactions

I'm always surprised at just how compact this park is. There are so many attractions yet it must be the smallest Disney park! Great vlog as always, need to get back out there with my camera myself🏰
It might interest you to know that a long time ago, Knott’s Berry Farm once had a water fountain show back when they had a beautiful lake that was between Fiesta Village and Ghost Town (now where Silver Bullet exists). Not nearly as elaborate, of course, considering the limitations of technology back then. Still, give Knott’s Berry Farm credit for thinking outside of the box way back when.
The first coaster that I went on which went upside down was California Screamin’. Even though I live in the UK haha Edit: I also managed to go on the shot towers before they were removed! They were actually quite good but nothing special.
Figment is in the line for guardians ride you might spot him in a cube in the rafters near the front of the building. That is an original figment animatronic but exactly which one is up for debate as the cube is foggy but likely one from the middle or later portion of journey into imagination.
I had the complete opposite reaction to you around this park, I loved mission breakout, probably more than the original tower of terror but hated the incredicoaster which felt like a cheap cash grab overlay
47:29 see those hoses spraying water in the air? Well one time I rode this, our raft was going along right when they started spraying. All the super thick water landed on us. That was the wettest I've ever been on any ride ever

Hi Shawn, great vlog, and awesome looking.park. Have to agree with you, lookind at the Tower of Terror re-brand. This was one of my favourite rides, at Hollywood Studios, in Florida. But looking at your on ride footage, just seem's to have lost that creepy atmosphere, that works so well, with the origional ride.
Your review of GotG kinda surprised me. The building is ugly, sure. But the ride is miles better than the old Twilight Zone ride. It actually FUN now. People are laughing and screaming the entire ride cycle.
Tommy Lamm Another big factor is the audience. Many of the people riding the ToT rides have probably not even heard of the Twilight Zone franchise while many of them would have heard of GOTG. Modern day franchises simply appeal to the public more.

If you take a look at Hyperspace Mountain at DLP, the whole building where which the coaster is contained still has the Jules Verne 'A La Terre de la Lune' theme and really doesn't fit in with a Star Wars theme. If you search up a picture of it you'll see what I mean.

I really, really did enjoy it and I thought it was fun, but I don't know if I'm comfortable losing Tower of Terror for it. I would've preferred it if they kept ToT and just made a new Guardians of the Galaxy ride in the Marvel section. Exactly two years ago, before this grim pandemic, me and my mom visited this place. I’m so glad to have watched this to get some nostalgia.

Cars land looks amazing, its like been in the film and looks so immersive just like the star wars land in the dedicated vlog to that area.

I don’t know why but the traveling cars on the Wonder Wheel are so scary. I feel like they’re going to fly off into the lake. Very effective.

The exterior of Mission Breakout is actually based on the architecture seen in the background of the Grandmasters city in Thor:Ragnarok
Why in the world would they make the exterior something from Thor and not Guardians? It's a Guardians themed ride.
