Hello ladies, you always have something funny and interesting to share with us. I would like to finished the cardigan from Jen’s winter class. Finish a sweater I’m knitting for my granddaughter and keep knitting on socks.
I’m working on Christmas knitting. Socks for everyone and mini sweater and stocking ornaments. I like to have a basket of ornaments by the door and when people drop off Christmas treats, I let them pick an ornament. I’m also working on the All the Lights Cardigan by Joji Locatelli for myself. So lots of fall knitting. ❤
Jen, your pumpkin picking story was a riot! My fall knitting plans include a first sweater (hopefully), socks, and wrist warmers for my mother. Great podcast!
I have the washable pouches that are refillable. My younger kids love them. I started my first sweater. It is a Flax. I also might knit some pumpkins to give as gifts.
Yall are the best. Jen you should write a book on the tricks of knitting I always learn something new. Amanda love the granny squares. So beautiful. Kathleen, your sweater choices are always inspirational. I'm finishing a languishing wip. It's the elements sweater. I'm over it, but determined to finish.
After s summer spent knitting a couple of fingering weight sweaters I am doing some palate cleansing and making simple charity hats and a Zero Waste shawl to use up leftovers. My next sweater projects are the Field Pullover and STRIPES!
Another fun episode, I’m currently working on an Oban vest, Smoldering Embers, and Stripy Unicorn. I’m also planning Chiaro Scuro and Montrose! 💕 Lorien
I’m using Kakigori in the purple for a test crochet right now, and it’s working up beautifully! I’m looking forward to finishing my Rhinebeck sweater and vest for my daughter this fall:)
Hi Ladies! Lovely podcast as always! I recently finished my lumme pullover but Sari nordlund in de rarum natura, gilliat and I think, that will be a fantastic project for your fall sweater class! The motifs are simple and the worsted weight means, the sweater pretty much knits up in a jiffy!
I have slowly become obsessed with the idea of making a colourwork knitted vest this autumn (thanks Kathleen for feeding this obsession :) ). So that's plan 1, just need to whittle down my options. I'd also really like to make the Metamorphose dress from Moorit issue 6. And I need to finish 3 second socks after sock bingo! :)
Hi ladies! Another enjoyable episode!🥰I’m currently knitting socks for Christmas gifts, but I’ll soon be knitting some shawls for myself! The Clarksburg 24-03 by Nancy Lekx & Krisanteema by Inese Sang!😊
My fall plans are to knit from stash and patterns I already own. So I’m going to make one of the following: salty days sweater by Veronica Lindbergh, step by step cardigan by Florence Miller or benthe by Natasja Hornby
Love watching you girls. Right now I’m learning Entralac. I live in Florida so knitting a cowl to wear on chilly days. My next project will be the Turtle Dove Cardigan.
I am working on completing three sweaters at the moment, 1) HANA by Junko Okamoto: working on assembly and embroidery 2) Taylor sweater (colorwork) by Wool and the Gang: working on second sleeve and 3) Guernsey Sweater by Sandnes Garn: working on 2nd sleeve. I recently, completed the Freeze Frame shawl. My first mosaic project. The motifs are so beautiful, you should take a look at the pattern. I made it in black and white using the pattern suggested yarn. Every time I look at the shawl, I think about using the motifs in a sweater. Take care ladies, love watching your podcast❤
Kathleen I loved your Jena so well I cast on one myself. I decided to use Juniper Moon Farms Patagonia. I’m on the second sleeve and so in love with the yarn and pattern. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hoping to finish two summer tops (both begun last summer), make a summer shawl (hope to finish by next summer) with my new Hopemade Yarn, and some gift knitting.
So many things planned! I am finishing up my Rhue sweater. Then hoping to fit in a Rainbow Stripes sweater before Rhinebeck. And of course it is Westknits MKAL season. So many things!
For fall I like to knit something for myself. I do a lot of giving away and test knits but Fall is for me. I’m looking forward to a new shawl the most. Dk or fingering.
****Fairy Bouquet*** would be a good sweater to do. I bought yarn for it when I was at your shop. I started the Flax sweater but don't like the excess fabric at and above the armpit so its on hold. You can see the excess I'm talking about in your sweater- not designed well in that area.
I’m almost finished a Calliope by Espace Tricot in Emilie et Philomène. I love apples too however, in Alberta I find all my old favourites have been replaced by several new varieties. They just don’t taste like apples anymore.
Love, love, love seeing all of you and hearing about your great crafting adventures. My fall crafting plans include finishing the cross stitch ornaments I’m making for each of my grandchildren, finishing two test knit sweaters, and a crochet sweater for my daughter’s birthday.
Hi Kathleen, Jen and Amanda, Thanks for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! I'm looking forward to making the "Lady Finger " sweater this fall...taking the class with Kim! (Special thanks to Kim for all her help today choosing yarn and signing me up for the class! ) Happy Knitting to all!
I hated reading in grade school and high school. In college entry my reading skills were low I guess. So the reading class was actually a way to study and get the most out of your reading. They used computers too. It basically scanned certain words in the article or paragraph and you had to answer questions to what you understood from that reading. The instructor was teaching us S3QR technique. Search Ask 3 questions-When,Where and Why. Recall SQ3R is a study technique. I wish it was taught in grade school. It would have helped me and others. The class ended and the instructor dismissed and held me back to talk to me. She told me I improve from low scores to very high scores. She congratulated me. I enjoy reading now and that class also worked on reading speed. Sorry for the long message. I do think that reading technique should have been taught in school. I’m 58 now but maybe it’s taught now.
I am working on gifts... socks, cousin sweaters from a pattern Hide and Seek, finishing a shawl, andmaking a weekender from queensland Kathmandu fingering. I have a similar ⁰struggle" with a Redford ive made for my son. The body fits well but i made both sleeves and they are WAY too big. Sigh. Frogging is also in my future.
My twin and I are planners when it comes to knitting and during our birthdays(8/16) we got the yarn to make the “ Nordic Nights” by Jen Steingass. This will be are Christmas sweater this year.
The next sweater I would love to cast on would be The Bubblelicious Sweater by Veronika Lindberg and I am currently knitting The Love Letter Top by her as well (it's so pretty!).
This Fall I’m planning to finish knitting Zweig by Caitlin Hunter. I’m not a fan of ballon sleeves so I’m tapering the sleeves. I also plan to make sweater dress and a sorrel sweater.
I plan on making the All Season Vest by Noriko Ichikawa. Also plan on working on the Field Sweater by Camilla Vad 🤞and picking my Alder Sweater by Rebecca Clow back up 😬
I am looking at crocheting a Sea glass tee, possibly modifying it to a cardi. I am not confident enough in my knitting skills to do a whole 1 by 1 color work sweater.
I’m planning on knitting Montrose from blue and green Sewrella yarn and Tapioca in purples and whites. Both with long sleeves. I also „have to” make a green cable cardi. If I would win a ball of Noro Kakigori I would try knitting again with it. I have parts of another ball of this yarn. I had to frog first project and it was falling apart as I did it. 😢 I wonder about your experience with this yarn!
Ohh - is that Montrose by Cheryl Mokhtari? There were surprisingly many sweater patterns named Montrose when I took a peek. It's a beauty! Also, Kakigori is a very loosely plied yarn. It's fine when knit - I've made several sweaters from it and never had a problem, but depending on the gauge it was knit at and other factors, I could see it being a bit delicate when being frogged. 😢 ~K🧶

Hello ladies! I think you should do a steek vest class. That is the one thing on my fall projects that gives me chest pains! 😅😂😂

Oh my goodness…that little Pom Pom sweater is to die for…ordering some of that yarn now for the shop!
Really enjoy the fun repartee and dare I say cackling? Such good knitting company

I'm a pie instead of cake person too! Especially pudding pies! I'm looking forward too finishing up a long sleeve Tolsta Tee this fall.
Another fun episode, I’m currently working on an Oban vest, Smoldering Embers, and Stripy Unicorn. I’m also planning Chiaro Scuro and Montrose! 💕 Lorien

Thanks for a great episode. I’m thinking of knitting the Study Hall shawl and trying out mosaic knitting.
Thanks for all the suggestions, and fingers crossed for finishing all those big projects for this sweater season!

Hoping to finish two summer tops (both begun last summer), make a summer shawl (hope to finish by next summer) with my new Hopemade Yarn, and some gift knitting.
I am finishing up my Casapinka MKAL Sharon’s Road Trip. The colorways are a very happy mix of Shirsty Cat stash and Magpie Fibers Swanky sock!
Very fun!
So many things planned! I am finishing up my Rhue sweater. Then hoping to fit in a Rainbow Stripes sweater before Rhinebeck. And of course it is Westknits MKAL season. So many things!
All the things!

I'm on a mosaic knitting kick. I'm working on a Pressed Flowers Pullover and want to start a Paulie cardigan next.

I like my sleeves to magically appear! ( or knit 2) I am knitting a Brume sweater which I think will be a cozy fall item.
Yep, 2 is kind of a magic number when it comes to sleeves! 😂
I’m almost finished a Calliope by Espace Tricot in Emilie et Philomène. I love apples too however, in Alberta I find all my old favourites have been replaced by several new varieties.

I didn't realize the Zweig had balloon sleeves - I agree they would work well tapered! ~K🧶
Looking forward to the Alvar sweater from sari Nordland
Fun episode. It’s still freaking hot here, 106! I’m starting Step by Step cardigan because I’m hoping it will eventually cool down.
That it hot!! Hoping cooler weather is on the way for you!
I am finishing the Elton Cardigan by Joji and the Busan sweater by Aergoknits
Finishing up my testknits and planning on casting on Pink Velvet by Andrea Mowry ❤ always aiming for two sleeves per sweater)) 😂

I plan on making the All Season Vest by Noriko Ichikawa. Also plan on working on the Field Sweater by Camilla Vad 🤞and picking my Alder Sweater by Rebecca Clow back up 😬
Great choices, Pearl!
I am looking at crocheting a Sea glass tee, possibly modifying it to a cardi. I am not confident enough in my knitting skills to do a whole 1 by 1 color work sweater.
Sea Glass is so beautiful in either crochet or knitting!
I would like to knit Meiko. 2 sleeves, preferably. 😀
