Lol
Lmao
@Zyxel and monke
HEE HEE
I got rid of these mistakes a long time ago...the nostalgia..
I never did I just started I mean I downloaded this app 1 year ago thinking it was a game then when I opened it I was super confused and deleted it now I got it back knowing what animating is and still making all these misteaks
That's literally me
This tutorial actually made a drastic difference in my animations, I always felt like something was off or missing when I would be animating.
This actually helped realize a couple of things in my animations, but the worst part is that I’m about to do smth irl even though this video ESPECIALLY THE EASING PART, motivated me to use stick nodes so much, that I started crying and because of just HOW HELPFUL THIS VIDEO WAS 😭😭
Im only just starting sticknodes and i took and hour and 15 minutes to make a transformation animation and it didnt look like it was created by a 5 year old this time. Thanks!
Thanks! This felt like some animation tutorial (which it kinda was) and it helped me with my animation, Thanks man, and also, you just earned a new sub :D
I have lots of troubles when it comes to animating walking. Even in IRL I can't walk.
Edit: Why is everyone replying with :(
Edit: Oh. Guys I'm not disabled. I was kind of drunk when commenting this. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Sad to hear
:(
:(
Im sorry for that
You probably have jelly walk
This helped alot since i really had no patience and there isnt any flow in my animations and it looks very fast, i put patience and faith into it and now it looks like its alive!
Gosh, you made this 5 years ago yet a chill person (you) is making me want to make a non-auto-Tween video rn (that Music put a smile on my face too lol)
What’s the Music called?
Helped alot literally my animations looked stupid and i had no idead what was wrong now they look amazing thx
This video helped me a lot thx
Idfk why, but when i started to animate, i actually followed the footing rule straight away, but it doesnt have any flow and easing
Ivan Jann Animations that’s awesome!

@@Ryzng my walking stick men look like people twisting their legs badly while gliding across the never backround floor
3:12 that’s evil,
Justaguy AroundTH-cam
can be in certain situations
What is?
@@dillonmarcellus6220 Abusing it.. like me
Ralph uses tweens
And they look dope af
I dont under stand how to use this
The 3 mistake is my
I make the things without patience
I really do love your tutorials 🎉😊❤
You forgot not moving the main anchor node lol
That would be optional in dialogue parts tho but it is indeed a common mistake that newbies do.
*when this bow & arrow holding stickman decides to randomly comment*
I’m a newbie so I’m not used to it yet I just downloaded it so I’m getting used to it
I still have A LOT of trouble with running and walking
Thanks, dude. Helped a lot!
Thanks dude, I do all this problems, mostly the lack of patience
The best start to becoming a good animator is a walking animation.
This is a written tutorial, so pay attention!
1. You'd want to have a stick figure that has a lot of movable joints. for example, it must have feet, ankles and knees. (Not the only needed joints)
You can't properly animate with the default stickfigure because of the missing assets. The legs are simply only knees.
2. You want to have the previous frame as ghost so you can keep your feet right.
3. Pose your stick figure, you want it to have a wide stance ready for animation. Not too wide and not too flat.
3.1 Move your entire stickfigure's body parts. This includes: Legs, arms, and head.
Now we're going to start to animate.
Keep in mind. You need to have a ton of patience. If you don't have any. Try to build yourself patience.
All good animators have patience.
4. Sync your hands with your legs. When the legs move, the arms move.
This is a very very important step:
5. Your back arm syncs with your front leg, the one under the front arm.
Your back leg syncs with your front arm.
basically, F + B (Front plus back)
B + F
6. You keep your back leg in one place. You look at the ghost and when the stickfigure moves, the leg and ankle remains in the same position that it was initially. Basically your body leaves and forgets your leg.
The start of the animation, you lift your back leg up and then place it on the ground, then start. Your body moves leaving behind your poor back leg.
Your ankles move forward but your feet are trying so hard to stay on contact with the floor.
and then your feet give up and your ankle, after your back leg and front leg end up being near eachother, you want to zoom in so you don't get confused with which is which, this is the biggest mistake that i made. Basically, my stickman's front leg was hiding my back leg, which made me confused and made me reposition my back leg into my front leg and my front leg positioned into my back leg. like they switched places. Zoom in so you know which is which.
alright, so. After your front leg finally reaches it's destination and your back leg is behind your body, You restart. Repeat. After your front leg makes it's step. You repeat. Don't forget to keep moving the body. The back leg is supposed to get abandoned into one place then start to reunite to it's family. Then the front leg starts being the one who is abandoned by your whole body. and the back leg is repeating the same process that the front leg had.
And that's all. I hope you found my comment appealing to you and that you could understand. I tried my best.
A more effective way to animate practically anything is to replicate real life.
Walk across your rooms looking down at your hands and feet. You realise your back arm follows your front leg. and your front arm follows your back leg, They have the same movements. If you appear to have the arms not looking fluid when they are going back, contract them then move them back.
I love you bro thanks (no homo)
i started a running animation does that count?
Wait walking yikes when I was new I skipped all of that and my first was a fight scene it turned out very bad
@@zay_real Sure thing.
@@abdelwahabzafou6372 No problem, i'm glad i could help you.
Thank you. As a beginner sticknodes user, this tutorial really helped me. you deserve more than 5k subs
This actually helped more than the others thanks.
might have to remind you about the "if you animate a lot stickfigures" one because mainly people just messed up the movements in a group so it looks "trashy"
subbed, thanks for the help, i think my animating will get better.
The way I make my figures walk is way less complicated but the results aren't so pro like. But then again it's just walking.
I’m your one thousandth subscriber😁!!
Number 1 can also be useful (if you want a character to slide)
Yo thanks this was very helpful
as a Stick node animator I can say this really helped.
Oo man you just gave me an idea that stretch can be used to make a 3d animation. Thanks
I fixed that mistake and I got good at animating so thx for the tips bro!
Thank you for the tips.
Thank you I do make all those mistakes 😂 I even stopped making because of that problem
Thanks for the tips
Thanks to you I don’t use tweeting anymore thanks man :D
thanks it will probably help me
Thanks now i can try to fix my animations to do better
Good tips. now i know that the guide is useful
Example of flow:
Make a character high kick
Then make that high kick turn into running
Tan that running, make the character land a strong punch or something.
Can you please send me the link for the music you used for this video, its really calming.
Thx so much for this now im always adding shadow effect for my anims (thats gonna be more hard) but it helps me so much
BLU3_D3MON I add shadows also. If you rig it correctly it won’t be hard but still pretty tedious.
@@Ryzng I think you should really make movie clips for the base and shadow that way it's easy.
thanks for the useful advise
Really helpful dude
More common mistakes
1. Overusing tweened frame and pretty much animating in tween itself (if people get pissed off me because i said it, tween is pretty much your comfort zone but if you go out and watch tutorials and basically follow them you'll be surprised)
2. Lacking flow is not that common, but for newbies... it is
flow is how you make the movements fluid and satisfying, also it decreases the grumpy look in an animation.
The video pretty much also sums it up so i can't think of anything now lmao
thanks for making this i can finnaly make a good animation
I've been in tae qwon do for 6 years and ITF sparring videos are amazing combo inspiration
This could help me a lot
I remember when I used to make 4th wall animations with the default stick running into the animation corners lol
nice vid now i know to animate
Another Mistake is that overthinking you think it looks bad but in reality its actually good then you mess it up cause you thought it was bad
I just don’t when I should use the add tweeted Frame. When the attack is finished or starting?
When I use a background I go back to the frame before the next movement to see if I misplaced my feet
Dang, I’m gonna make another TH-cam acc and create stick node animations, thx for the vid!!
That humans Gain speed got me a idea
Also one question what do u use for ur tweening and fps
One things that helps me is getting a basic idea down, then fixing it up. Another way is slowing down the FPS and watching it to fix it up
same
I always do that, really helpful tip
Who uses tween frame button for the easy stuff. Ex: Just easing a punch. Or unless you can't do it, or you just want to.
Btw, I am still in shadows. And I plan to never return
Im making an animation but it was only supposed to be a test i added a boss fight to it and it became into a full animation
Nice tutorial but i van see some hard-to-spot mistakes in this animation
Yo bro what is the stickfigure you used on animating called? İ want a stickfigure that can get long like rubber.
Believe it or not I’m your 800th subscriber!
Marcelo Gamez Thanks for helping me hit a milestone!! 🎉🎉
Damn ima try it
Thank that helped
I have trouble with easing when make or download figures I need to get used to them but even then I still have trouble when easing due to my lack of experience with stretch
yo what's that app called ( when you touch something and that little circle thing comes up) sorry for bad English/grammer
5 and 3 as a beginner was no issue for me.
It's just mistake 1 now
Tip: you could lock the note on the leg of the character and continue the walk animation from there
or just not be lazy and use the ghost frames from the previous frames to follow the body position and footing.
Mm i am beginner so i wanna ask wht the tween use for
Thanks
The music is, And so it begins, by Artificial.music on apple music
Another common mistake is using the "add tweened frame" button on movements, and actually using auto-tween.
So it is not just me who is anti-tween?
Thanks for vid it helped me tell me if something wrong about my animation on my channel i need the help
Can you help? İ try to make animation or fight animation when i.The i'll do my all force to make good but my animation being slow or fast
How Do u make the Stickman look like that?
Woah...dis is good
Why wouldn't it show the guide option on my screen?
Your a legend if you animate like this ( i can make animation like that I have to zoom in ) 0:45
If your using a fast up 20 and 15 Speed or frame per second use 6 frames As a charging up And boom Add some effects camera shakes and Done
Its been 4 years since i started animating yay
I see differences now cuz im better at animating now but remember it took me 3 years to get good at my style and 1 year of getting used to it but maybe i started animating when i was 8
Thx for the tutorial kinda thing.. now everyone will stop calling me trash
Bro I didnt even realize what does tweened frames do until i used it. It was so goddamn useful
Tweened frames basically make it like you moved the limb yourself even if you didn't, basically. If you just instantly make your arm go back. You can use add tweened frames to add absent movement.
The movement you did not make.
How do you get that character with the stretchy body
What stick figure do you use in your video..?
Lol.
I tried to find it.
What do I do wrong?
If I ease more and worked on dotting I would be golden thx for tips
Nice
Thank you my animation look smother
what if you could lock parts of the stickfigure?
How do you get that white circle thing
Where did you get that node pls i need it
Are you using pro? If so, I'd have to figure out how to switch my files over to stick nodes pro
i think maybe like animating someone like sans or somin. non flow is acouly looking cool rn for animating sans
How thick are the nodes on the stickfigure
Whats the music :3
I mastered animating using Stick Nodes so, i don't have to make a mistake animating. Right?
Nah i got rid of these mistakes when i was 2 years into animating
I cant seem to find the Show on front feature
I have a question!
How do you save the Animation after its being done?
There's a save button and export button on the side of your screen you just have to look
I have been animating for a few months and this is literally my problem
The mistake that I hate:
Forgetting to move the character so he doesnt looks like a doll
