What I’m noticing the most from this is how much Barrier Air has changed in the last 10 years. The airline was still fairly new here after rebranding from the chaos that was Great Barrier Airlines - but now as of 2025 they have one of the best regional airline reputations in NZ, also having expanded to flights to Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Tauranga and Whitianga. Also side note; that PA-31 we see a brief glimpse of at 26:56, ZK-NSN, was written off in a wheels up incident at RNZAF Whenuapai in April 2015, suggesting this footage was taken only in the last few months, weeks or even days of her service life with Barrier Air.
